Cliff's Coonhound Rescue & Trapping Our mission is to safely trap strays&pets and save dogs from euthanasia in kill shelters We also rescue animals at risk in shelters ALL over the US.

CCRT is a small scale volunteer operation that focuses on trapping at large strays & runaway pets on the East Coast. CCRT is named after my (Emma) rescued English Coonhound, Clifford, who accompanied me to all trapping adventures and rescue missions. He will live on forever through the lives we save! We do not charge for any trapping services. We have the following equipment:-Missy Traps-Raytripper Sensors -Collarums-Catch Poles-Cellular Cameras- Box traps

We take in the trapped strays when Animal Control allows us to do so. We also focus on Hound breeds that are at risk in shelters. Although we focus on hound breeds, we also take in other breeds as well (we love saving Texas dogs!!)

Adoption process is as follows:
Step 1: Adoption application (must be approved before meet and greets)

Step 2: Home check

Step 3: Meet and greet (if local)

Step 4: Start 2 week trial-once 2 week trial is up if all goes well adoption fee is to be paid

ADOPTION FEES:

Dogs 7 years and under- $275
Dogs 8 years and older $175

all of our age appropriate animals are altered before adoption unless otherwise stated (we pay for spay/neuter once old enough if too young when adopted)

The SPCA contacted us in regards to Boba as he is struggling in the shelter environment. He appears to be more pointer to me but regardless he is NOT at risk as the SPCA does not euthanize for space but he is not thriving in the kennel environment. Please please share Boba far and wide! Hopefully someone sees him and wants to give him a forever home!

10/14 COME GET THEM WHILE THEY ARE CLEAN! 😆 STILL TAKING APPLICATIONS

Please read all info to answer any of your questions you may have:

Mama is a bluetick mix (pictured) and dad is a pittie/lab (pictured) Mom is around 45 pounds and dad around 60

-puppies will be placed with approved adopters BASED ON PERSONALITY, NOT LOOKS. At 8 weeks old our partnered trainer came to do behavioral evaluations and these will be used to place the puppies in what we believe will be the perfect home. A preference with a puppies name or preference on gender is welcomed.

-applications that will be considered will be home during the day (to an extent) to start basic training such as crate training/house breaking/leash walking etc.

-puppies were born 8/11. As of 10/14 they have received 2 vaccines. Adopter is responsible for 3rd booster and rabies vaccine if they go home before its time for the 3rd round. This visit MUST be sent to CCRT.

-adoptions for these puppies are LOCAL only. Within 2-3 hours of Hampton Roads VA/ NE NC. (Puppies must be brought to Chesapeake on day of spay and neuter and picked up from Chesapeake that late afternoon as well)

-1 week adoption trial is offered. Once one week is up, 275 adoption fee is due. No other fees other than 85 for males and 95 for females DAY OF spay & neuter to help with the cost. CCRT will schedule the spay & neuter appts and will transport from our kennels (puppies may spend the night or be brought in a timely manner the morning of appt) i will take them to the appt and back to the kennels same day.

-puppies will be sent home on a puppy care contract. This is not an official adoption until day of spay and neuter. Once they attend the appt, an official adoption contract will be sent to adopter with all vet records and microchip info.

-puppies are to continue crate training and socialization. Puppy training classes is a HUGE plus, we only want the best for them!
