We are the Virginia Rugby Football Club, based in Charlottesville, VA.
Virginia Rugby will play in the Capital Rugby Men’s Division III South conference for the 2026-2027 season.

Founded in 1961, we are the oldest rugby club south of the Mason-Dixon line, and throughout our history we have always welcomed people of all ages and skill levels, including those who have never played rugby before. We pride ourselves on our welcoming environment and commitment to maintaining the principles that make rugby unique 👐

Calling all greater Charlottesville area rugby players and novices. We are recruiting new players for our 2026 Fall 15’s season.

Whether you’re a seasoned rugby player or completely new to the sport, as long as you’re over 18 and interested in rugby, we’ll have a place on the team for you 🫵

We are the Virginia Rugby Football Club, a Men’s D3 rugby club.
We went 8-1 last season and played all the way to the regional championship. This year, we intend to take it even further. And we want you to join us on this quest!

This Saturday, starting 9:10 in the AM we’re watching the inaugural Rugby Nations Championship at SuperFly Brewing Co.

Anyway, we’re glad to be returning to Cape Fear Sevens hosted by Cape Fear Mens Rugby Club . Our first game kicks off at 9:40, Saturday. If you’re in the area, come say hi and cheer for the boys!
