Communities across the country spent Memorial Day honoring those who served and those who made the ultimate sacrifice, including in Charlottesville.

It was a weekend for remembrance and honoring of those that paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Community members joined us in placing flags on veteran’s graves on Saturday. As Comrade Martin said, “Every marker has a story”. The children involved surely learned a valuable lesson, that service often involves sacrifice.
Local leaders, veteran organizations, and community members joined together for the annual Memorial Day service organized by our post. Thank you to all that participated or helped to make these events successful.
