We’re a nonprofit and we host the annual ‘Generous Pour’ Virginia W**e Auction! Engaging with the Virginia w**e industry to benefit the local community.

Congratulations to filmmaker Chrisa Giorgi on *We the W**e People*, her new documentary about the people behind Virginia w**e. 🍷

We were touched to learn that her journey began at our 2023 auction. "After that, I was hooked," she says.

(The documentary also features a nonprofit that we are pleased to support with proceeds from our auctions, the W**emakers Research Exchange.)

Her film celebrates what makes this industry special: w**emakers, growers, and researchers who share what they learn and look out for each other. That same spirit is what makes The Generous Pour possible. Stream it on Apple TV, and read more about Giorgi and her film at C-VILLE Weekly https://c-ville.com/new-documentary-shows-virginia-w**emakers-sharing-in-experimentation/

Who's behind the pour? A whole community. 🍷💛

Virginia W**e Benefit is a Charlottesville 501(c)(3) run by a volunteer board, with one simple idea: Virginia's w**e community is generous, connected, and full of good people, so let's put all of that to work for our neighbors.

Here's how it works:
🍇 Virginia w**eries and related local businesses donate auction lots
🥂 You bid, attend, and celebrate at The Generous Pour!
💛 The money raised is distributed to local nonprofits

Every year, our board carefully selects the organizations The Generous Pour will support. We started in 2023 with an online auction and have grown into a festive evening of w**e, music, and giving.

Thanks for being part of it!

2026 Beneficiary Spotlight 💛 Blue Ridge Area Food Bank (Blue Ridge Area Food Bank)

The impact of your support, part one. Some partnerships go way back. Blue Ridge Area Food Bank was one of the beneficiaries of our very first Generous Pour online auction in 2023, and we were proud to include them again in 2026.

“At the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, our mission is to improve food security through equitable access to good nutrition and the resources that support health and well-being.”

As the holidays get closer, their work matters even more. Want to help beyond the auction paddle? Visit Blue Ridge Area Food Bank to volunteer or give.

Every bid at The Generous Pour 2026 went somewhere real. This is one of those places. 🍽️

We’re reminiscing about our last auction, so let's raise a glass to some of the people who filled ours. 🥂

The Generous Pour runs on generosity, and Virginia's w**emakers brought it in buckets (well, in bottles). More than 30 w**eries donated to our 2026 auction. Today we're toasting some of them (and we’ll do the same for others soon…)

🍷 Ankida Ridge Ankida Ridge Vineyards
🍷 Common Wealth Crush Common Wealth Crush Co.
🍷 Fallen Tree Fallen Tree Vineyard and Farm
🍷 Southwest Mountain Southwest Mountains Vineyards
🍷 CrossKeys CrossKeys Vineyards
🍷 Williamsburg W**ery / Wedmore Place The Williamsburg W**ery at Wessex Hundred

Planning a weekend tasting? Start with this list, tell them VWB sent you, and thank them in person. 🍇

More cellar shout-outs coming soon.

Soon we will be announcing the details of the 2027 Generous Pour charity auction event. We can’t wait to see you there!

Stay tuned and reach out if you have questions.

Like an underdog w**e that somehow sneaks into the final flight of a blind tasting, The Generous Pour has found itself in the finals of the “Best of C-VILLE” in the “Best Party” category.

To be honest, we didn’t even know we were in the running.

As a small, volunteer-driven nonprofit, we’re a little surprised, a lot grateful, and simply delighted by the chance to share our mission with a wider audience. Since day one, we’ve believed that partnering with our local Virginia w**e industry can bring people together and help support organizations doing important work throughout our community.

If you’ve attended an event, donated a bottle, volunteered your time, or simply cheered us on, we’d love your vote.
