Are you familiar with our Nickel for Your Story program?

ParadeRest’s Nickel for Your Story initiative preserves the personal experiences of veterans through recorded oral history interviews that capture the lessons, sacrifices, and reflections of those who have served.

These interviews allow veterans to share their experiences in their own words while helping younger generations better understand the realities of military service. The interviews are shared through the ParadeRest YouTube channel and archived through the Library of Congress Veterans History Project, ensuring these personal accounts are preserved as part of the nation’s historical record.

Behind every success story is someone willing to invest their time, patience, and belief in the next generation. We are so appreciative of Sandy Snow, who has been tutoring our Called To Serve students toward their goals. A few words from her about her experience with the program:
