Do you know believers who state, "You're being legalistic!" when you mention the Ten Commandments?
You probably do. Or maybe you've said that yourself.

In the "Introduction to the Introduction" of The Messianic Ten Commandments (yes, Sam Nadler really did feel it necessary to include such a thing!), Sam provides an in-depth look at:
๐Ÿ‘‰"The Commandments of Moses: New Covenant Believers Consider Old Covenant Legislation."
It gives us a look at what the New Covenant (New Testament) itself says about the Ten Commandments and "law" in general.

While Saul's army cowered in their battle array, they assumed that Goliath was too big for them to fight.

Meanwhile, David, armed with his trusty sling and stones, saw that (as Sam Nadler writes it):
"Goliath was not too big to fail; he was too big to miss! (Young David, page 300).

Do you share David's perspective of total dependence on Adonai (who always keeps His promises)? You can grow into that kind of faith. Let Young David - The Making of a Messianic King help guide you!

To help you grow in your dependence on David's (and your!) Messiah, you can order the Young David book ($20*), the Leader Guide ($14*), or the bundle ($30*) [*plus shipping] at www.wordofmessiah.org/bookstore.

(This verse comes on the heels of the 1 John 3:2 post this morning. Check it out!)

Biblical hope isn't an "I hope so" kind of wish.
It's a confident assurance... because our God has never failed to keep a promise.

If we know that we will see our Messiah, and we will be like Him, when He appears,
so,
let's purify ourselves and be prepared!

Shabbat Shalom!

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ We often wonder what we, or our loved ones, will look like when we get to heaven.

Molly's son was just twelve when she passed into the arms of her Savior. That son lived to be 90.
Who did Molly greet when he "finally" got there?
A 12-year-old?
A 90-year-old bearded man?
Or perhaps, a bearded 12-year-old, as Sam suggested in our recent Q&A classes ๐Ÿ˜‚

But really, the point won't be about our being with family.
Our REAL JOY upon entering Heaven will be
๐Ÿ‘๏ธ to "see Him just as He is."
๐Ÿ‘๏ธ to look in the face of Yeshua.
๐Ÿ‘๏ธ to see His nail-pierced hands as He reaches to embrace us.

No greater JOY!

๐Ÿ”ฏ Words and names are important. Sam helps us answer the question, "Who am I now?"
For many Jewish people who trust Yeshua as their Messiah, they are told, "You're a Christian now. You need to go to church."
Wait! What just happened to their Jewish identity? Is it lost?
Not at all!

Messianic Wisdom - Practical Scriptural Answers for Your Life in Messiah helps you sort out issues of believers' identity in Messiah - for both Jews and Gentiles.

Why was the Law given?
To regulate sinful people.
During the days of the Judges, people "did their own thing," and it was total chaos, proving the point that Law supervises and monitors the unruly.

In The Messianic Ten Commandments, Sam Nadler writes:
โš–๏ธ "...the Mosaic Law given upon leaving Egypt could only โ€œregulate sinโ€ (Heb 9:10)" (page 85).
โš–๏ธ "Following sinโ€™s entrance into the human condition, we needed Godโ€™s commands to regulate our lives until Messiah came" (page 165).

Understanding not only "why" the Law was given but also its limitations helps us grasp its role today.

A lot of terms are defined or rather the Messianic terminology is explained. This commentary on the book of Romans is for Jew and Gentile, student and scholar.

Sam Nadler writes,
๐Ÿ“Œ"This book uses Messianic jargon, such as HaShem or Adonai for the capitalized word LORD, Messiah instead of Christ, Yeshua for Jesus, congregation for church, Good News for Gospel, and believer or Messianic believer instead of Christian. These words are only helpful, though, if we understand the much more important matter
of the purpose Paul had in writing this letter to the Romans.
๐Ÿ“Œ "The letter to the Roman congregation was to inform all the believers there that the apostolic calling on their lives wasโ€”and isโ€”to the Jew first and also to the Gentile8 (Rom 1:16), and that the Gentile believers are called to make Israel jealous for Messiah (Rom 11:11). Though this fact has been recognized by a few Christian commentators, the โ€œto the Jew first and also to the Gentileโ€ truth must be applied consistently to the whole letter of Romans. Only then can we understand the heart of Paul and the reason for his calling as the apostle to the Gentiles.

A Messianic Commentary on the Book of Romans, Volume 1, by Sam Nadler, will help you grasp and apply Paul's instruction in your personal life and the life of your congregation. It is available in hardback for $33 + shipping at www.wordofmessiah.org/bookstore. (Watch for Volumes 2-5 in the future!)

๐ŸŽธ "Did you ever wonder who taught David to play the harp or lyre? Samuel the prophet had a school of the prophets that utilized musical instruments, including the harp (1 Sam 10:5). David may have been in Samuelโ€™s school following his anointing!
๐ŸŽธ "In any case, David could play and had exceptional God-given skill. Would David restore Saul, or merely refresh Saul? That was entirely up to Saul (and up to us, when we sin): repentance by faith brings full restoration" (Sam Nadler, Young David, page 87).

Young David - The Making of a Messianic King is full of life lessons for young and old. It is available for $ 20* (the Leader Guide for $14*), or the bundle for $30*[*plus shipping], at www.wordofmessiah.org/bookstore.
