Symptoms of Ovarian Cancer may include: bloating, abdominal, pelvic or back pain, feeling full quickly after eating, urgency to use the bathroom or change in bathroom habits, cramping, fatigue. If one or more of these symptoms persist please see your OB/GYN. A pap smear does NOT detect Ovarian Cancer. Ask about the CA-125 blood test, genetic testing and
transvaginal ultrasound. We want you here. We want you healthy!

Remembering my Why
Another September is in the books and the message is still the same. Take care of yourself, you are your best advocate 🦋
September is over for now: As the daughter of an OB/GYN I grew up knowing how serious breast cancer was from a young age. I am beyond grateful to watch the Pink Campaign grow and save so many lives including my mothers. We now have awareness, and a screening (mammogram) and God willing, one day a cure. But please keep in mind not all ladies cancers are PINK 💗Ovarian Cancer DOES NOT have a screening or a cure. What it does have is a high chance for reoccurrence and a low chance of survival, as it is often found in the late stages. There is very little awareness and even less funding. We need to do more, much more and it needs to start with you. The next time you see your OB/GYN ask about the symptoms of Ovarian Cancer, ask about the CA-125 blood test and genetic testing. Ask for a transvaginal ultrasound. Ask why women aren’t being educated on this disease. We need to work together so maybe we will see a change in our lifetime. You deserve better...our girls deserve better. Thank you!

October 24th gather your coven or join ours and help us spread awareness for Ovarian Cancer. Make reservations to grab grub then at 6:30 we will cross the Overhead Bridge into the night, stopping at our favorite haunts for witches brew and passing out candy and symptom cards along the way 🦋 We will end up Waxhaw Taphouse to dance the night away under the moon and stars!

Witches Walk Saturday October 24th downtown, Waxhaw, NC
Gather your coven (or join ours) plan your attire and help us celebrate sisterhood as we spread awareness for Ovarian Cancer! We will grab grub, toast the night and dance until dawn.
It will be a magical night filled with fun and laughter. Please make 5:00pm dinner reservations at an eatery of your choice. (Food Trucks will also be available downtown) The walk will start at 6:30pm as we cross the Waxhaw Overhead Bridge into the night. We will pass out symptom cards and candy along the way. Witches brew and spirits will be available at each stop ending with a dance party at the Waxhaw Tap House.

$5 wristbands will be on sale at the Taphouse starting October 1st..... Proceeds benefit Teal Butterfly and Ovarian Cancer initiatives

100 butterfly bags were delivered to local hospitals in Charlotte, NC to women receiving infusion treatments for GYN cancer(s) thanks to Robin's Ride for Hope who raised $21,000 at this years ride. Thank you to our sweet girl Lucy aka Dancing Queen 👑 for helping us deliver these goodies 🦋
