Meet Chandhana, a panelist for the Asian Media + Mental Health Film Panel Discussion at the 2026 Charlotte Asian Film Festival.

Chandhana is a senior at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, majoring in Psychology and Sociology. Her interests center on health equity and the importance of increasing Asian representation within the mental health field to help build culturally competent and accessible care.

By exploring the intersection of social media, cultural representation, and systemic barriers, Chandhana hopes to advocate for mental health resources that reflect and respect diverse lived experiences.

💻 Through the City of Charlotte Government Learn2Earn grant, we kicked off our second digital literacy class in partnership with Charlotte Hmong Alliance Church and North Carolina Hmong Women Association, Inc.

Each student received access to their own laptop and an introduction to the technology they’ll be using as they begin five hands-on learning sessions with instructors from Ram Digital Solutions

We are able to provide access and opportunity with our 501c3 Asian American Foundation for the Carolinas and giving members of our Asian community the technology, skills, and confidence to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

A big thank you to the City of Charlotte Government our community partners, instructors, and volunteers who took time out of their weekend to help make technology more accessible to our community.
