Part of having our Friends in Diversity event every year is to learn from each other and represent each other’s communities.

While planning on site today, we asked Minh Ngo and Ann Gonzales (leaders at the Asian-American Chamber) to have some fun with posing in front of the skyline with something that represents them or their culture. Minh (on the right) chose the heart symbols for love, and Ann (on the left) chose peace with some pizzazz. Love and Peace. ❤️ ☮️

If you’re a member of the Asian-American chamber, go to their website to purchase tickets for our Friends in Diversity event on June 23rd.

Our first Learn2Earn Digital Literacy class was a great success! Last Sunday, 25 students joined us to begin their digital literacy journey. We welcomed participants ranging from seniors to young adults, each with different levels of experience. Some students had never touched a computer before, while others were looking to refresh and strengthen their digital skills.

It was inspiring to see everyone learning, asking questions, supporting one another, and taking the first steps toward greater confidence with technology.

A special thank you to our instructors from Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) for their patience, expertise, and dedication to our students. Thank you also to Shloka( UISAC ) & Shiva from Ram Digital Solutions and our tech support team for helping everything run smoothly throughout the day.

CAACC is grateful to the City of Charlotte Government for supporting the Asian American Foundation of the Carolinas through the Learn2Earn initiative. We also thank Smart Charlotte, FORWARD, BL Wall, UISAC, Cambodian Legacy Project, Montagnards of Charlotte, and all of our community partners and volunteers who helped make this opportunity possible.

We look forward to seeing our students continue to learn and grow in the weeks ahead! 💻❤️
