Carolinas Asian-American Chamber of Commerce In the 1960s, there were fewer than 200 Asians and only eight Asian businesses in Charlotte.

The Carolinas Asian-American Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)6 nonprofit organization that exists to foster cooperation and interaction within the AAPI business and professional community for the betterment of commerce, culture and communication. Today, the Asian-American population in greater Charlotte has grown to around 70,000, representing over 15 countries of origin, and directly involved in hundreds of businesses. Various civic groups within the Asian-American community are actively engaged in reaching out to share, promote, enrich and contribute to the well-being of all citizens of this multicultural community we call home. Connect with the businesses and organizations helping our region grow at the Friends in Business Expo!

Hosted by the Carolinas LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with CAACC, Latin American Chamber of Commerce of Charlotte , Women's Business Center of Charlotte, Charlotte Mecklenburg Black Chamber of Commerce chambers and community partners, this multicultural event brings together entrepreneurs, professionals, nonprofits, and local businesses for an afternoon of networking, learning, and collaboration.

This morning, North Carolina Asian Americans Together (NCAAT), Southeast Asian Student Association, and the Carolinas Asian-American Chamber of Commerce (CAACC) helped 48 UNC Charlotte students and staff register to vote as we continue the momentum from National Voter Registration Day!

Through our community partnership and grant-supported civic engagement work, we’ve now registered 119 voters since May, toward our goal of 150 voter registrations. 🗳️

And we’re keeping the community momentum going this weekend! Come find CAACC and our community partners, nominate your favorite Asian-owned business for the Best Asian Business Awards, and sign up for upcoming programs and events.
