COVID-19 has forever changed many aspects of our society including how our young people engage with - and make sense of - the world around them. And while the impacts of the pandemic extend to everyone, we know that BIPOC youth in the US have been disproportionately affected.

Join us for a youth-led discussion about how these young people have been impacted over the last two years. They will be invited to speak to the successes and failures of the systems around them, and to what they think is needed to better support them in North Carolina.

We will discuss what it's been like to learn in a hybrid environment; school programs or other community programs that have supported youth throughout the last two years; community resources they wish they had; things they've learned about society, school, adults, mental health, etc and more.

This event is hosted by MENTOR North Carolina (, ) and sponsored by the SHIELD Mentor Program and 100 Black Men of Greater Charlotte.

This event is free. Registration is required.

We are active in our community on many levels, including social injustice & inequality and voter registration/education.
