Becoming a lunch buddy is a great way to get involved at Alexander Youth Network and make a meaningful difference in a child's life!

If you would like more information on how to become a lunch buddy, please email Ashley Nieves, Volunteer Engagement Officer, at [email protected] or visit our website: https://www.alexanderyouthnetwork.org/make-a.../volunteer/

Drew Summerford is pictured sharing time with a student through our Lunch Buddy program, where consistent presence makes a real difference in a child’s school day.
This program gives caring adults a way to build trust and offer encouragement in a simple, steady way that children can rely on.

If you have been looking for a meaningful way to give back, this is a great place to start.

Thank you to Guitarists For Good for their generous donation of acoustic guitars, ukuleles, a keyboard, and more for the kids at our Charlotte PRTF to enjoy! 🎸🎶

Guitarists for Good is a nonprofit based out of Raleigh that shares its love of music by donating instruments to agencies serving individuals affected by homelessness, trauma, and recovery.

We are so excited to use these instruments through guided music therapy interventions, allowing our kids the opportunity to explore creativity, build confidence, and develop healthy coping mechanisms in a safe and supportive environment.

Thank you for supporting the kids we serve and sharing your love of music with us! 💚

Alexander Youth Network is proud to be a beneficiary organization of this year’s tournament. Proceeds will directly support services for children and families who need access to mental health care and support.

On April 21st we had our annual fundraising event, Celebrating Our Kids, at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. We were joined by over 300 community members, donors, and partners to hear more about the mission of Alexander Youth Network and learn how they can help support the children we serve. We are excited to announce that this year's event raised $1 million to support the programs and services provided by Alexander!

This year we heard from a former client, Julien Franco, and the Alexander Youth Network staff member, Patrick Brown, that played an instrumental role on Julien’s path to healing while in our Residential Treatment Center in Greensboro. Todd Carlson, an Alexander Youth Network board member, also shared with our guests the journey his family has had navigating the mental health care system and why our mission is so meaningful to him. Thank you so much for sharing your stories! We were left inspired and in awe of your courage and strength 💚

We were also joined by a few kids from our Charlotte Day Treatment and Psychiatric Residential Treatment programs. They greeted guests as they arrived and did a performance demonstrating what they’ve learned with our therapeutic drumming program! They had a great time getting dressed up and meeting new people. Thank you to Malik McCrimmon and Jerome Nelson for helping prepare our drummers for their performance.

We are so grateful to everyone that attended and our staff and volunteers that helped make this event so successful. Check out our album below to see photos from the event.
