Feed My Sheep Food Pantry was established in 2003 when Ms. Cassandra Henry was denied food assistance at an outreach program due to not having an appointment. That experience prompted Ms. Henry to share with Pastor Kenneth Samuel her vision of starting a food pantry for the purpose of feeding the community. After seven days of prayer and consideration, the vision was presented to the Second Harvest Food Bank. Sadly, we were told the collaboration was not possible at that time because we must be an operational pantry for at least two years. But, we didn’t give up. Our Church C. A. F. M. decided to purchase and distribute food and Hygienic supplies for two years without assistance .

Finally, two years later upon the completion of inspection, and approval of the Second Harvest Food Bank, the partnership officially began. It has been, and still a pleasure serving others. With great satisfaction and purpose, Feed My Sheep Food Pantry serves our Community from 2003 to present, the collaboration with Second Harvest Food Bank is only getting stronger.
