Congratulations to the East Meck Symphonic Band for earning a Superior rating at MPA yesterday in Mooresville! The band performed three songs for the judges along with sight reading a new song they had never seen before. A Superior rating is the highest score. Way to go, Eagles!

The East Meck Band Mattress Sale is coming up just 1 week from today! Why is it so important that you tell everyone you know to come out to buy a mattress? Because funding for music programs through CMS has decreased in recent years, meaning most of our expenses need to be covered through fundraising efforts.

Here are images of some of our school instruments in desperate need of repair.

Our annual Mattress Fundraiser is coming up on Saturday, March 14! Last year we raised $5,000 in a single day by referring friends, neighbors and family to support the band and purchase a mattress. Respond to the Facebook event East Mecklenburg High School Band Mattress Fundraiser and invite your Facebook contacts to join. Also, there will be another parent mattress sale meeting for those who couldn't attend the meeting a couple weeks ago. It will be held this Wednesday. Feb. 18, at 7:30pm.
