Ohm Radio Charleston Ohm Radio 96.3 FM is the first nonprofit, community radio station in Charleston, SC. We broadcast music by local, independent, and legendary artists.

Ohm Radio is Charleston’s first non-profit, community-based, commercial-free radio station! We spread the good word about what local entrepreneurs, non-profits, and social groups are doing to enhance our community. We showcase powerful syndicated content, like Democracy Now! We help unite Charleston’s diverse community of voices with original and creative programming. Ohm Radio 96.3 FM is the latest venture behind Media Reform SC, a grassroots non-profit group that has been promoting democracy through media since 2011. We believe in free speech, the full and accurate flow of information, and the power of noncommercial, listener-supported community radio. It is our goal to offer high quality, local, low-power FM radio programming to Charleston. Truly local radio is an urgent matter because we believe that the corporate media giants distort the news and overlook what is really important to our communities. Our programming will includes local news, talk, and a wide variety of musical genres.

🌧️ WEATHER UPDATE: BRASS ON THE GRASS POSTPONED 🌧️

Due to the rain expected today, we’ve made the tough decision to postpone Brass on the Grass, our free community concert with Charleston Symphony

We’re sad, too. 🥨😭 For now, we’re putting the lederhosen back in the closet and starting to plan for Saturday, May 8, 2027.

Thank you to everyone who planned to join us—and to all of our partners, musicians, vendors, volunteers, and supporters who helped bring this event together. 🌱🎺

Keonta’ joined us to talk about her new role, the power of one-to-one mentorship, and The BIG Raise — a month-long fundraiser supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters’ work connecting mentors and mentees across the Lowcountry.

Want to experience Riverfront Revival AND support local, nonprofit radio?

Join the Ohm Radio 96.3 FM crew on Friday, October 9 + Saturday, October 10 at Riverfront Park!

🍻 Volunteers help serve drinks at our beverage tents, and once your shift is over, you’re welcome to enjoy the rest of the festival for FREE!

Riverfront Revival is a major fundraiser for Ohm Radio, and your time and support truly make a difference. 💛

🍺 REQUIREMENTS: All volunteers must be 21+, have reliable transportation, and have a current TIPS/alcohol vendor certification.

Already volunteered with us and your TIPS certification is still current? (It’s good for three years!).

New volunteers: We’ll send you the volunteer application and details for completing the $15 alcohol vendor certification, along with the remaining paperwork.
