Aspen Science Center and Snowmass Tourism are thrilled to present Science in Snowmass, a weekend-long celebration of all things science and discovery in Snowmass Village! The event will take place September 11-12th, with details here: https://www.gosnowmass.com/science/

The weekend will bring together paleontology, climatology, ecology, astronomy, and community engagement through a series of educational science programs inspired by the 2010-2011 Snowmass Ice Age Discovery.

Friday features:
Hands-on educational field trips for middle school groups led by ASC, Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers, and AstroTours

An Ice Age Explorer Tour with ASC and guest scientists from Denver Museum of Nature and Science

Ice Age Discovery Presentation by DMNS Scientists

Stars and S'Mores with AstroTours

Saturday features:
3 Ice Age Discovery Tours at Ziegler Reservoir with ASC and guest scientists from Denver Museum of Nature and Science

Nature Hike with ACES

Ice Age Discovery Hike with ACES

Climate Change in Snowmass Panel, featuring leading scientists and regional partners from Colorado State University, Aspen One, Wildfire Collaborative Roaring Fork Valley, and ACES

Looking for an internship that’s:

⏰Super flexible (just 1–4 hours/week!)

💰Paid ($15–$18/hour)
