Brown yards don't have to be a sign of the times! Glenwood Springs water users can save both money and water with the turf buyback program.

If your lawn is looking brown, it may not be dead. During drought conditions, grass often goes dormant naturally. In most cases, it is a survival mechanism, not a death sentence, and most lawns recover when cooler temperatures and moisture return.

What actually helps in:

▪water deeper
▪never water during the heat of the day

And if you have been thinking about making a longer-term change, Glenwood Springs offers a turf buy-back program that reimburses residents for replacing high-water turf with drought-tolerant plants and landscaping.
