Hi Dance Initaitive Fam,
We want to begin by giving utmost respect and honor to those who helped establish and grow folklórico in the Roaring Fork Valley over the past several years . Their dedication laid the foundation for programs like this, and we’re grateful to continue that legacy with the next generation.
We’re so excited to introduce something special this spring—Youth Folklórico 💃🏽✨
This class is more than dance. It’s a space for kids to connect to culture, build confidence, and be part of something meaningful. Through folklórico, students learn the rhythms, stories, and traditions of different regions of Mexico—all while having fun and moving their bodies.
This program is led by Angel Peña and Juan Najera, who bring years of experience and a deep personal connection to folklórico. For them, this isn’t just teaching—it’s passing on something that was passed down to them.
Ages: 7–13
Wednesdays, 5:00–6:30 PM
April 8 – May 20

Queremos comenzar brindando el mayor respeto y honor a quienes ayudaron a establecer y hacer crecer el folklórico en el Valle de Roaring Fork durante los últimos años. Su dedicación sentó las bases para programas como este, y estamos agradecidos de poder continuar ese legado con la próxima generación.
Estamos muy emocionados de presentar algo especial esta primavera—Folklórico Juvenil 💃🏽✨
Esta clase es más que baile. Es un espacio donde los niños pueden conectarse con la cultura, desarrollar confianza y ser parte de algo significativo. A través del folklórico, los estudiantes aprenden los ritmos, las historias y las tradiciones de diferentes regiones de México—todo mientras se divierten y se mantienen en movimiento.
Este programa está dirigido por Angel Peña y Juan Najera, quienes aportan años de experiencia y una profunda conexión personal con el folklórico. Para ellos, esto no es solo enseñar—es compartir algo que también les fue transmitido.
