Meet Bachelor #1… Rex! 🐾❤️

This handsome purebred AKC Bulldog (with papers) is 3.5 years old, weighs 60 pounds, and is ready to find his forever family!

💕Turn-ons:

Remember Stella? She was our most recent foster, our third this season! Well… here she is now, doing zoomies with the young girl in her new family! Yes, she found an amazing forever home! As always, it’s bittersweet. I cried sad and happy tears, but mostly happy. To think she was close to being euthanized just a couple of months ago. It’s hard to fathom. It’s why we do what we do. Thank you to rescue partner and to all the special people who have it in their heart to foster. Thank you, Sweet Stella for the opportunity to be in your life, even just temporarily. It was an honor. You will always be in my heart and prayers.

They're beautiful. They're intelligent. They're spunky.

And that's why you should NEVER buy one.

Many decades ago, I bought a betta. And I kept him in a plastic little hexagon the size of a Starbucks grande.
Thinking about it now, I feel so much remorse.

We believed what we were told.

"Ah, they live in puddles. They don't need any space. And they just breathe the air."

Nobody tried to tell us they should be in warm water. No heaters or pumps sold with the "betta kits." No 5 gallon minimum.

"Here's a vase. Perfect for your desk."

Shelves stocked with lonesome, often sick, fish. And we bought and treated them like tchotchkes.

It pains me every time I'm in a pet supply store or the local supermarket. Those tiny cups with nearly lifeless bodies.

But I won't buy them.
Buying is not rescue.
It dooms another to take their place.

So -- don't buy -- ever. Complain to managers when you see sick fish. Rescue/adopt when you can. And please educate your friends, who still believe all the lies we were told.

Meet Bullet! Approximately 2 years old, healthy, happy, neutered & vaccinated!
HE NEEDS A HOME! He was brought from S. Carolina for a foster commitment that fell through. It’s an unfortunate situation. He’s super sweet! Dog friendly, loves kids and adults. He thrives on routine and structure.

“Dudley” AKA “Davis” is a joy to interact with (& look at!) I mean, come on! That face! If  I wasn’t juggling 4 different dogs yesterday, he was going right in my purse! He’s listed as ‘dachshund mix,’ but he reminds me so much of the dog that made me a dog person, Cutie, and she was a Chiweenie. So I think he may be a Chiweenie as well. Not that it matters, he’s a love bug and he needs a forever home! This guy won’t last long! Apply to adopt Last Chance Animal Rescue
