Today marks the official start of National Little League® Week, and Riverhead Little League is proud to celebrate everything that makes this game so special!

💙 Did you know? National Little League Week began in 1959 when President Dwight D. Eisenhower officially recognized Little League on its 20th anniversary and celebrated the positive impact it has on communities across the country.

For over 70 years, Riverhead Little League has been more than just baseball and softball. It’s where friendships are made, confidence is built, life lessons are learned, and memories are created that last a lifetime.

🔥 Riverhead PBA improves to 10-1 with a hard-fought 12-7 win over Hampton Bays!

The girls battled the heat and a tough opponent, taking control in the third inning behind a clutch RBI from Laila T. and a three-run inside-the-park home run from Piper M.

⭐ Laila T. went a perfect 3-for-3
⭐ Sydney J. added 2 hits
⭐ Piper M. drove in 3 runs with her inside-the-park homer
⭐ Charlotte D. was dominant in relief, striking out 7 over the final 3 innings

Riverhead finished with 10 hits, 13 stolen bases, and turned a double play on defense.

If you weren’t at the Majors Baseball Playoffs tonight, you missed an instant classic.

Two talented teams battled from the first pitch to the final out, leaving it all on the field in a game that had the Stotzky crowd on the edge of their seats. In the end, Jerry & The Mermaid punched their ticket to the next round and will continue their playoff run! 🧜‍♂️⚾

A huge congratulations to Riverhead PBA on an outstanding season. Your players, coaches, and families represented Riverhead Little League with pride all year long, and you should be incredibly proud of everything you accomplished.
