NYLT is coming up soon, National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is an exciting, action-packed program designed to provide youth members with leadership skills and experiences they can use in their home troops, teams, crews, personal lives, and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others.
Troop and Crew Leaders- Get your Youth Leaders and Future Youth Leaders trained, you'll be glad you did!
Who Can Attend:
Scouts BSA:
NYLT is for you if you can answer yes to all of the following:
You will be 13 years old by March 27, 2020.
You will not be 18 years old before March 27, 2020.
You will be at least a First Class Scout by March 27, 2020.
You now hold or would like to hold a unit leadership position.
You are mature and responsible enough to spend 6 days camping ** with other scouts you’ve never met, with minimal adult supervision, while living the Scout Oath and Law.
You agree to practice the skills you learn at NYLT when you return to your home unit; AND
Your parents and Unit Leader agree and recommend you.
Venturing
NYLT is for you if you can answer yes to all of the following:
You will not be 21 years old before March 27, 2020.
You have completed either Crew Officer Training or Venturing Leadership Skills Course or Introduc-tion to Leadership Skills for Crews.
You are mature enough and responsible enough to spend 6 days camping** with other scouts you’ve never met, with minimal adult supervision, while living the Venturing Oath and Law.
You agree to practice the skills you learn at NYLT when you return to your home unit, AND
Your parents and Unit Leader agree and recommend you.
** The Course Leaders will work with you in advance if you do not have extensive camping skills.
