Spawning Early Release is a “saturation spawning” method by which shellfish larvae are grown in large numbers and released in a natural setting, beginning earlier in the season than is typically done in the aquaculture industry. After an incubation period of two weeks, the larvae are released through impeller pumps directly to chosen site.
