As we close out our fiscal year, our goal is to bring in 15 new Circle of Leaders members to help sustain our artists, our work, and what comes next.

Monthly giving creates stability. It allows us to plan, grow, and continue creating bold, meaningful dance—not just project to project, but with intention.

And through MDP | Gives Back, every gift right now also supports , extending care and impact beyond our stage. The Mama Glow Foundation was nominated by Company Member Shaina McGregor.

Not ready for monthly? You can still make a one-time gift. It all counts in this moment.

We’re currently at 2 of 15.

Join monthly at $25—or give what you can today.

A glimpse into what was built and shared yesterday ✨

Choreographer’s Institute 2026 brought together emerging voices, dedicated artists, and a week of focused creation—culminating in an intimate works-in-process showing at Mark Morris Dance Center.

Grateful to Jael Griffin and Dan Doran for their bold, thoughtful work, and to our dancers for bringing these ideas to life with such care and commitment.

This is what it means to invest in process, in people, and in the future of new dance.

With gratitude to our community of supporters and donors who make this work possible—your belief in artists at this stage of creation is essential. If you feel inspired to support this work, we welcome you to join us.

Announcing the choreographers for Choreographer’s Institute 2026 ✨

Please join us in welcoming Jael Griffin (she/her) and Dan Doran (he/they) to the studio this spring.

Jael Griffin, a SUNY Purchase graduate, has performed works by Andrea Miller, Yin Yue, and Loni Landon, and recently joined ICK Dans Amsterdam as an apprentice. Her creative practice is rooted in curiosity, transformation, and physical storytelling.

Dan Doran, an emerging q***r choreographer graduating from Marymount Manhattan College, has performed works by Raja Feather Kelly, Sidra Bell, Chanel Da Silva, and Netta Yerushalmy, with presentations at venues including The Joyce Theater and Arts On Site. His work explores the surreal through a deeply human lens.

Together, they will develop new works through an intensive and intimate creative process in collaboration with MDP dancers.
