We had our annual Play-Doh Drive for Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital today, and once again the car community showed up in a huge way. Jeremy Scates hosted the event at 111 Motorcars, and we’re grateful to him for opening his doors and helping make this happen. Big thanks as well to Exotic Autosport, Podium 1, and Harpeth Car Club for helping promote the event.
Thank you to everyone who came out and dropped off Play-Doh, and to those who have sent Play-Doh directly to our home. Your kindness makes a real impact for the kids at Vanderbilt.
I want to share what Jeremy wrote in his post today, because he captured the heart of this effort perfectly:
“Ross and Jill have educated all of us on the impact this wonderful mushy toy has for children in need. Play-Doh can be beneficial medically or in hospitals for children by providing a therapeutic outlet that reduces stress and anxiety, improves fine motor skills, enhances hand-eye coordination, and stimulates creativity. In a hospital setting, it can be used as a form of play therapy to help children cope with procedures and their overall experience by making it a calming and engaging activity that promotes self-regulation and communication skills.”
Thank you all for helping us continue this tradition. The kids at Vanderbilt feel your love every year.
