Shifting gears… 🤟🏽💙

With joy, peace, and godly anticipation, we’re stepping into a new focus for 147 Team — one that is deeply personal and purpose-driven. After the tragic loss of our son Joseph, we knew his story could be a light for others.

JoJo’s Meaning in the Miles is now dedicated to raising awareness and support for Deaf children and teenagers across the United States. We believe every child deserves to be seen, supported, and given opportunities to experience the fullness of life.

Through partnerships with The Deaf Camp and The Deaf Church at Brentwood Baptist, we hope to come alongside leaders already doing incredible work — helping amplify their impact and reach more families for Christ.

All funds and donations will go directly to support The Deaf Camp, helping provide life-changing experiences for Deaf children and teens.

Our mission is simple: to open doors, create meaningful experiences, and remind every Deaf child and teen that the world DOES see them.

This is more than a shift… it’s a calling. And we’re honored to walk it out.

We are small ministry standing in the gap for single moms, deaf children, and vulnerable kids in our local communities. Consider partnering with us with a donation in 2025 - it could help keep the lights on for a family, fix a car, provide food, pay for camp and so much more. Sometimes a small help for some people makes a huge impact on their daily lives.

Help us Share Christmas, fix cars for single moms, fill a fridge for a family in need, keep the electricity on, put gas in their car, send deaf / HH children to camp, and get the essentials such as hygiene and clothing for those God brings to us.

Be a part of Sharing Christmas this year. Our volunteers will do all the wrapping and delivering.

The question is “Are we still serving?” And the answer is a big “YES.”

To be honest I have not found the passion to do the social media again, but we are still doing the work God calls us to. We had “Broken Tables” last night and the joy from the single moms just sitting and sharing life was a blessing to my soul. We had the fabulous NCL group watching the kids, so the moms could get their cups full and their hearts heard.

We have Thanksgiving baskets and Christmas project coming soon. Please keep us in your prayers and our needs on your radar.

When the Broken Table moms get together it is always a time of hope and love. We have built this little community to model “iron sharpens iron” and to be a voice of strength for one another.

Today’s adventure was hosting Deaf Camp at the mall for lunch. I remember taking Joseph places and his feeling of anxiousness as he tried to communicate his order with impatient people behind us in line and sometimes even settling for whatever he got because those taking his order didn’t understand what he wanted. Emily or I would go behind him to make sure the server understood his request.

We wanted to create an environment where each child has time to request what they wanted at no hurry and staff was there to help confirm what they wanted was understood.

It was such a sweet time to see the smiles and relaxation on their face as they experienced this lunch. May we always be patient in public settings for those in front of us that may approach this experience in a different way and may need extra time.

Exploration with the Homestead Healing Project as we host The Deaf Camp. Our goal is to provide an environment for God to show up and sometimes creating that space of wonder can open so many doors. We all have a purpose and sometimes we just need safe spaces so that we can trust in his word and know that he has a plan for our lives.

Thankful for our volunteers who helped to prepare the field and pamper our farm babies before The Deaf Camp arrives today. There is something pure and peaceful about working in the field.
