We and generous donors demonstrate God's love by funding clean water projects and empowering ministries and communities with sustainable construction and maintenance expertise. The Living Water Project partners with communities in impoverished areas of the world to provide accessible water for people , thereby also extending to them the love of God.

Clean water for students in Ghana!

Our partner in Ghana, Paul Partey, recently sent us this picture of a new well dedication for a school, along with this message:

"Agormanya Methodist Basic School students no longer have to walk long distances for clean water. The school just received a new borehole courtesy of the Living Water Project, and the joy on the kids’ faces says it all.

The donation was marked with a special gathering at the school premises, where pupils in their yellow and blue uniforms held up blue cups of fresh water beside the new Rambo 180 polytank. Teachers, school officials, and members of the community joined the celebration, thanking Living Water Project for stepping in.

For years, students and staff at the school struggled with limited access to safe drinking water. The new borehole changes that. Clean water now flows right on campus, cutting down time lost fetching water and improving health and hygiene for hundreds of pupils.

Mr. Hodgson Moses Duke who is the Headteacher of Agormanya Methodist Basic School said “Access to clean water means our children can stay focused in class instead of worrying about where their next drink will come from.”

The students’ cheers and raised cups in the photo capture the impact perfectly: a simple borehole, a lifetime of difference."

There's still time to double the impact of every dollar you give. World Water Day is this Sunday--just THREE Days away, so time is running out on your opportunity to double the impact of every dollar you give. We still have matching money available to double your contribution. That means…

$9 will provide a lifetime of clean water for TWO people instead of just one.
$99 will provide a lifetime of clean water for FOUR families instead of just two.
$999 will provide a rehabilitated well for TWO villages instead of just one.

Three ways you can help make a difference:

Clean water for the people of Burkina Faso!

Our partners at Invite Joy sent us these pictures of a new water tower project that was just completed in the village of Kaibo in Burkina Faso.

The solar panels on top of the tank (they get plenty of sunlight since they are about the same latitude as Panama) power a submersible well pump that’s about 250 feet underground, and that pump fills the tank. If the tank is full then the pump shuts off. These setups are roughly double the cost of a hand pump, but they can roughly serve double the number of people.

When we give a village clean water, we also give its women privacy, dignity, health, and security.

The burden of water scarcity falls to women and young girls. They have to spend hours each day, walking an average of 3.7 miles to carry heavy loads of water. This work limits their opportunities and quality of life.

GIFT OF TIME:
By bringing water closer to home, we give women the invaluable gift of time. That's time they can spend learning, starting businesses, and engaging in activities that contribute to the development of their families and communities.

PRIVACY AND DIGNITY:
Improved water access also provides privacy and dignity, offering women and girls the opportunity to bathe and meet other sanitation needs in privacy.

HEALTH & FINANCIAL SECURITY:
The Living Water Project’s approach is simple but powerful. By empowering women, we not only improve their health and access to clean water, we also enhance their ability to improve their financial security and overall livelihoods. Through water, women empower themselves and their communities thrive.
