Sharing this information for our community partner, the MSU Office of International Programs!
The MSU Office of International Programs is looking for local community members and families who are interested in engaging with international teachers from the 2026 Fulbright Teaching Excellence & Achievement (TEA) Program. If you enjoy learning about other cultures while sharing your own culture, we encourage you to join our team for this unique and rewarding experience! (No housing necessary)
WHAT IS EXPECTED OF HOSTS:
-We will be matching families or individuals with 2-3 Fulbright Fellows. TEA Fellows will have accommodation in Bozeman’s Homewood Suites (you are not expected to house them)
-As this is a cultural exchange, we are looking for people who are interested in getting to know the participants and have the time to share their culture and Montana with these amazing folks.
-We suggest getting together at least once a week – maybe for dinner, live music, shopping, a hike, or other events. The Fellows have most evenings and weekends free, and we encourage connecting with other families and participants. (We can also give examples of what has been done in the past that worked well.)
-You will be required to participate in the Meet and Greet on Sunday, September 13 and the HOST DAY on Saturday, September 19
We encourage you to attend the final certificate ceremony and farewell luncheon on Saturday, October 24th.

Think reading a book in Spanish is out of reach? You might be surprised! In this class, you'll read a Wayside Publishing novel designed specifically for language learners, using a limited vocabulary of about 200 unique words. Each week we'll read one or two chapters, answer comprehension questions, and discuss the story, characters, and our own opinions—all in a supportive, low-pressure environment. By the end of the course, you'll have the confidence and satisfaction of finishing an entire book in Spanish while building your reading, vocabulary, and conversation skills.
