The WVDEP Project Water Education Today (WET) Program is now accepting applications for a one-year VISTA member position. This position builds organizational capacity for the state's Project WET program and provides the member experience in environmental education, project management, and network-building during a year of meaningful national service.

The term runs from August 10, 2026 to August 9, 2027 and is based out of either the Charleston or Fayetteville WVDEP office.

Participate in an environmental education professional development workshop at the UIS-Therkildsen Field Station, located within the Nature Conservancy’s Emiquon Preserve. These half-day workshops will provide information and resources for Project WET (PWET), Project Learning Tree (PLT), and Project Wild’s Growing up Wild. Educators will explore a variety of methods and activities to enhance the teaching of science to youth and how to effectively add engaging hands-on activities to lesson plans and programs.

WV Project WET is partnering with Project Learning Tree and Project WILD to host a Wetland Workshop at Twin Falls State Park.
