“Hawkers Make History” is only one week away! We'd really love to pack The Rialto on Friday, May 8! The evening’s festivities include performances by Hawkers and Last Best Comedy doing their “Notorious B-O-Z” improv program centered on Hawker Head Coach Adam Thane. Additionally, there will be live music, a free full dinner provided by Bodhi Farms, a full cash bar, and a big-ticket raffle. There are still tickets remaining. This is the team’s main fundraiser for both Nationals (27 qualifiers this year!) and our ongoing African Initiative (11 Hawkers traveling to Arusha, Tanzania for our 4th consecutive trip to support the Pan-African Speech and Debate League), and the success of this event is crucial to those endeavors as well as to funding participation opportunities for JV Hawkers in the face of ever tighter activity budgets, team food, extra days of hotel rooms for out of state tournaments, informative supplies like foam board and hot glue guns, team computers, etc.
