The biggest moment of Warrior Taste Fest is the Cash Call, when we ask the room to give, together, by raising a paddle.

This year, that moment has one goal: to put 25 post-9/11 combat veterans through Built for More. One veteran for each year since September 11, 2001. This goal won’t be accomplished through one big gift; it will take many gifts at every level, stacking together until we reach the goal. Every paddle in the air adds to the count. 25 lives. 25 families. 25 communities.

The food, drinks, art, and auctions make it a great night. The Cash Call is what makes it matter.

Join us September 11 at The Commons in Bozeman.

Ten talented artists are creating original work live at Warrior Taste Fest.

Watch the pieces come together throughout the evening, then bid on them in the live auction. Every piece heads straight to the live auction later in the evening, with proceeds benefiting Warriors & Quiet Waters.

Our featured artists this year are Summer Spitsbergen Fine Art, BigRock Bronze Works, George Hill Art, Tom Dean, Brooke Wetzel Fine Art, Allie Louise Art, Amber Blazina Fine Art, Tyrel Johnson Fine Art, Greg Scheibel, and Mark McKenna Studios.

This week, we had eight Warriors & Quiet Waters alumni and their spouses out on the water for our couples fly-fishing program.

The veterans we serve don't go through life alone. Their spouses and partners are often right there with them through the good, the difficult, and everything in between.

For the Warriors, it was a chance to share something they already love. For many of their spouses, it was an introduction to fly fishing. And for all eight couples, it was time away from everyday life to enjoy each other's company and reconnect.

The post-9/11 combat veterans in our Built for More program went to war in the years after that day. Some went immediately.

They answered when the nation needed them most. Now, through Built for More, they are rediscovering purpose, rebuilding connection, and becoming something powerful in their communities: unifying forces.

On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, join us in honoring their sacrifice. Commit to unity, sign up at the link below, and help carry this story forward.

What if the goal isn't just to bounce back?

Our CEO, Brian Gilman, took the TEDx stage at Montana State University to talk about antifragility and what it means for the veterans we serve.

The idea is simple: people don't need to just endure adversity. They can grow stronger because of it.

At Warriors & Quiet Waters, we aren't asking veterans to return to who they were before military service. We're asking them to thrive in a new way by building on the strengths their service helped forge: leadership, resilience, adaptability, purpose, and the ability to overcome adversity.

WARRIORS & QUIET WATERS ALUMNI:

If you participated in any WQW in-person program in 2024, 2025, or 2026, you should have received a link to a survey from the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF). IVMF is the external agency that evaluates our programs to ensure they produce the outcomes we claim. One of the ways they measure this is by surveying WQW Alumni annually.

If you've completed the survey, thank you! If you haven't, the door is closing on your opportunity to tell us what we need to know: specifically, what worked, what didn't, and how we can improve in the future and "get it right". Your feedback can help produce results... if you give it.

If you haven't completed the survey, please look in your inbox for an email from Dr. Casey Cooper ([email protected]). If you can't find it, please send her an email asking for a link to the survey. Assuming you're on her list of WQW Alumni from the last 3 years, she'll send you your survey link.

The Annual Survey will close on August 31st, so please don't wait. And thank you in advance for your time and effort in helping us put Warriors first, always.

In the latest episode of the Warriors & Quiet Waters Podcast, we look back on the Built for More Photography Track Capstone in the Montana backcountry with seven Warriors, a team of llamas, and plenty of cameras.

Dennis Dueñas, owner of Montana Llama Guides, joins Larry, Otto, and Jesse to talk about the experience, from backcountry camp life and a memorable hailstorm to the ways photography helped Warriors build confidence, connection, and a new perspective.

The experience was made possible through the support of Wounded Warrior Project.

Listen to “Cameras, Campfires, and Llamas: A Backcountry Photography Experience” wherever you get your podcasts.
