Apply now for the National Park Service Scientists in Parks program!

Maybe you’ve always seen yourself as a bit of an adventurer, and you have a love for the outdoors and science. Apply to be part of the 🧑‍🔬 Scientists in Parks Program, which offers paid internships to help you learn a variety of different skills and prepare you for a career in science! The program is a partnership with the National Park Service, Ecological Society of America, Stewards Individual Placements, AmeriCorps, and the Geological Society of America. Applications for the winter season are open through June 16th!

Every year the program places hundreds of college students, recent graduates, and early career professionals across the National Park System to work on natural resource management needs.

The program welcomes individuals from all backgrounds and encourages those to apply who are from underrepresented communities, those with disabilities, and those who are interested in 🧮 Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).

Explore internships in 🧫 biology and climate change work at Joshua Tree National Park, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, Congaree National Park, Kaloko-Honokōhau National Historical Park Hawaii, and Big Thicket National Preserve.

🌳 Ecology at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, Denali National Park and Preserve, Wrangell-St. Elias National Park & Preserve, Fire Island National Seashore, Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and Pecos National Historical Park.
