We had such a great evening with our board members at the annual fundraiser for our partner Impact on Education!! Congrats on a beautiful event!!!

We’ve got a lot to say about this coming soon… for now - we are so grateful for our partnership and all we were able to achieve this last semester!

We helped facilitate targeted tutoring to 44 high needs elementary students to improve their academic skills and future success. Each student demonstrated growth and the program will be expanded in the fall.

The second program our foundation has funded is currently in full swing at Pioneer Elementary! With the spring semester almost complete - we are excited to see our impact on Covid catch up efforts with these 15 students to see what your donations have done!



Impact on Education BVSD

Today we honor and remember the the educator for which our family foundation is named - Arly Kruse was first and foremost a Mom.

Arly’s legacy lives on and will far into the future with the attention and instruction that is changing the lives of children through this foundation. Today we send warm wishes for a Happy Mother’s Day to all of the Mamas teaching for and all of those with children attending one of Boulder Valley‘s schools!

Through partnering with Impact on Education, we were matched with 40 students at Alicia Sanchez Elementary, located in Lafayette, CO, for the spring semester. Thus far, our support has funded Covid catch up tutoring and is making phenomenal strides!

With the Spring semester almost through, we thought we would update you as to what we’ve been up to!

Earlier this year, we sought to reorient and as such, we have partnered with Impact on Education, a local group dedicated to serving the Boulder Valley School District in various capacities.

In time - we will reveal the fruits of our labors. For now - we want you to know ... every penny of every dollar donated is going back into the community and what we have done with your donations is making a huge impact. We cannot wait to share with you!

With the Spring semester almost through, we thought we would update you as to what we’ve been up to!

Earlier this year, we sought to reorient and as such, we have partnered with Impact on Education, a local group dedicated to serving the Boulder Valley School District in various capacities. In time - we will reveal the fruits of our labors. For now - we want you to know... 100% of each donation is being poured back into the community and what we have done with your donations is making a huge impact. We cannot wait to share with you!

This week, BVSD students go back to school 4 out of 5 days!! While our focus is always on students, we know this year has been challenging and crazy for teachers and administrators, alike. We want to wish our BVSD staff, teachers and admins the best of luck with the remainder of the year and we are so thankful for all you’ve done to care for our kids!

In addition to our economy, our schools and our students are suffering, too. While we know many families are reliant on the incoming stimulus payment(s) - we had a donor reach out and ask if they could pledge theirs to our foundation, as their career was not crushed as a result of Covid.

The economy will rebound eventually, these kids need our help to do the same. If your heart is called and if you are financially capable - we would be so honored to put your stimulus payment to work in our local community schools.

Our students are our future!

We are so very proud to be included in the work Boulder Valley is doing. We applaud and thank every single teacher, administrator and support staff member for their continued work and dedication to the wellbeing and growth of children!

Since August 2020, Community Schools (https://www.bvsd.org/departments/community-schools) has received $204,000 in grants to support child care, tutoring, and mental health counseling for our students.

Here are the details:
· $95,000 grant from Boulder County Housing and Human Services to support child care

· $74,250 Child Care Sustainability Grant from Colorado Department of Human Services to support child care

· $25,500 from Impact on Education to support child care (paid off fall debt for 53 families)

· $9,000 from the Arly Kruse Educational Foundation to support free, small group, online tutoring in literacy and math for 3-8 graders through Lifelong Learning

· Free online, small group mental health programming for middle and high school students from the Grief Support Network, funded by the Rose Foundation for Communities and the Environment and provided through BVSD Lifelong Learning

We are so grateful for these organizations and their incredible support!

Today is Colorado Gives Day and it’s no secret that children are suffering from the inability to be in the classroom. The Arly Kruse Educational Foundation is working hard with BVSD to do what we can to catch the most vulnerable who are impacted most severely. No amount is too little and every single cent this month will be matched 100%. If you’re interested in pledging - please do via the foundation’s website. Shout out to Lenore Penkethman, Jane Springston, Andrea Bianchi Lopez, Kelly Legare and Jana Zimmerman for your pledges so far - my graciousness and love to each of you. Let’s keep it rolling and catch our kids up!
