All of us at Murphys Boxing send our sincere condolences to Joey Ricciardi’s family and friends on his passing. Joey was a big part of the Murphys Boxing Family being the trainer of our long time fighter Greg Vendetti. From a week in Paris for Greg’s WBA Gold World Championship fight to the night Greg won the IBA World Championship, Joey Ricciardi was a big part of some of our most amazing nights. It wasn’t a secret that Murphys Boxing held Joey in very high regard and for anyone that would ask our opinion on who the best trainer in the New England area was, there was only one answer….Joey Ricciardi. Rest In Peace Joey, you will be dearly missed 🙏🏻 🥊

Best of luck to Katie Taylor who fights tomorrow night at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland. This is Katie’s last fight ever, after a truly amazing career! Katie will retire as Ireland’s best athlete ever and undoubtedly the greatest woman boxer of all time! We are extremely proud to have been a part of Katie’s remarkable journey, when we promoted her fight on October 20th, 2018 at the Boston Garden TD Garden! From an Olympic Gold Medalist to numerous World Titles, Katie was simply the best! Thanks for the memories!

Saturday Night in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Abraham Nova lost a close decision in an entertaining clash between two World Class fighters. Taking the fight on short notice Nova showed he can compete with anyone in the Jr. Lightweight division and there’s no doubt he’ll be back in major national fights in the future. Known for always fighting the best & his exciting fan friendly style, Nova’s stock continues to rise on the National boxing landscape and he’ll continue to press forward until an inevitable 2nd shot at a World Title! All of us at Murphys Boxing are very proud of the relentless effort and dedication Abraham Nova gives in and out of the ring!
Congratulations go out to Raymond Ford on his win, he’s a talented boxer who deserves a Jr Lightweight title shot.
