We’re proud to share that John Campbell, a dedicated member of GBBGC's Board of Directors and Past President, has received Honorable Mention for the second consecutive year for the Invest in Others 2026 Community Service Award for his incredible volunteer work with our Club. For nearly 20 years, John has been a driving force behind our mission—serving as a Board Member, twice as Board President, and lending his financial expertise to support major initiatives, including our recent renovation. “Serving on the board of Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life,” John shared. “I am proud to contribute to an organization that makes such a significant difference in our community.” Thank you, John, for your unwavering commitment and leadership. For over 50 years, Amy Driscoll Weinberger didn't have a name for the pain she'd lived with her whole life.

Then a diagnosis, hypophosphatasia (HPP), a rare genetic bone disease, finally gave her one. And an organization called Hypophosphatasia: The U.S. Soft Bones Foundation (Soft Bones) gave her something else: a reason to turn that pain into purpose.

Today, Amy volunteers for Soft Bones every single day, connecting newly diagnosed families with doctors who understand HPP, helping them navigate insurance, and showing up in person, whenever and wherever she's needed, for patients who feel as lost as she once did.

"Soft Bones gave me a future and a new goal in life: to help others," she says. "Gratitude is my motivation. I'm so thankful, I just can't help but pass it forward."

That's the spirit behind our 2026 Volunteer of the Year Award finalist, Amy Weinberger of Green Earth Financial Professionals in Cape May, NJ.

It’s time to recognize another 2026 Invest in Others Award finalist!

Meet Jesse Giordano, CFP®, CAP® RLP®, CEBC® of Opal Wealth Advisors in Jericho, NY — a Community Service Award finalist for his 22 years with Blood Cancer United, formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Jesse's connection to this cause runs deep: diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma at age 8, he spent eight months in chemotherapy, an experience that later inspired him to give back. Today, he serves on Blood Cancer United’s Metro New York board of trustees and as its Leadership Development Chair, having helped raise more than $1 million and trained volunteers across the country to share their own stories of hope.

"For the first time, I felt a sense of peace and was able to reframe that chapter of my life from trauma into something with meaning and purpose." — Jesse Giordano

Congratulations, Jesse and thank you for investing in others!

What happens when an Invest in Others Lifetime Achievement honoree comes back as a judge?

For Paul Martel, it’s an opportunity to help recognize and encourage the next generation of financial advisors who are using their passion to make a difference.

A 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Paul has dedicated decades to humanitarian work, including providing medical care to communities in Ecuador and building what began as a small clinic into a four-story, multispecialty hospital.
Now, as a 2026 Invest in Others Awards judge, he’s seeing firsthand the incredible impact being made by this year’s finalists.

His advice to advisors who want to make a difference? There’s no formula. Follow your passion without fear.

Meet Andrew Meyer of The Cornerstone Group at Morgan Stanley in Scottsdale, AZ — our 2026 Community Service Award finalist, recognized for his years of support for The Be Kind People Project

What started as a small event in the Meyers' home in 2003, honoring 29 "everyday heroes,” grew into a movement now reaching more than 5 million children nationwide. The cause is personal: the Be Kind Pledge was shaped around what Andrew's granddaughter, Grace, who was born with Kabuki Syndrome, needed to feel included in her own classroom.

"I've spent my career measuring value on balance sheets. But this is the most valuable thing I will ever help build, and not a dollar of it will ever appear on a balance sheet." — Andrew Meyer.
