A big thank you to Cartwheel for generously donating lice treatment kits and prevention sprays! 👏

When a DCF office recently reached out to the Wonderfund for supplies to help address a lice outbreak, this generous donation allowed us to respond quickly and get much-needed products into the hands of DCF staff.

💬 One DCF social worker shared:

“As a child protective agency, we often work with children and families experiencing unexpected and challenging circumstances. Some children enter care needing immediate personal care and support, including treatment for lice, while families may be struggling to access these necessities on their own.

Having lice kits readily available allows our staff to respond quickly and provide children with the supplies they need, helping them feel comfortable, cared for, and treated with dignity during an already difficult time.

This generous donation will make a meaningful difference for the children in our care and the families we serve. We are incredibly grateful for community partners who help us meet these needs.”

Another incredible Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Service Day in the books! 👏

Today, volunteers from BCBS MA joined us at Wonderfund HQ to pack essentials for children and teens engaged with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families, our state’s child welfare system.

Volunteers packed 1,000 textured hair care kits and, for the first time ever (!!!), 200 acne kits for youth! These kits will be delivered to DCF offices across Massachusetts to give children and teens dignity and confidence 🚚📦

We’re so grateful for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts’ longtime partnership and commitment to serving children involved with DCF 👏🧡💙 Thank you Blue Crew!!

Yesterday, we hosted the Second Annual Saf Lerman Caruso Award Ceremony, where we celebrated this year’s recipient, Ed Stone and The Stone Family Adoption Assistance Fund 🎉🧡

For nearly two decades, The Stone Family Adoption Assistance Fund has raised funds to provide financial assistance to deserving parents that wish to adopt, or have incurred economic hardship through adoption, and do not have sufficient funds to fulfill their dreams.

We were honored to celebrate Ed alongside adoptive social workers and families whose lives he and the Fund have touched over the years. Our guest speakers included Dawn Sweetman, DCF adoption supervisor, and Erin Sweetman, adoptive parent, who both spoke about the meaningful ways Ed and the Fund have supported them.

Ed is a backbone of the DCF community and an incredible partner of the Wonderfund. We cannot celebrate him enough!
