🌿 Exciting news from the Boston Food Access Council (BFAC)!

BFAC has recently received new grants and citywide recognition to strengthen our work making healthy, affordable food accessible for all Boston residents. With this growth, we’re looking for new members to join our Steering Committee — the dedicated group that helps guide our vision, steward resources, and ensure that Boston’s food system works for everyone.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who cares about food justice, community collaboration, and building a healthier, more equitable Boston.

🗳️ Steering Committee elections for the 2026 term will be held in December 2025, and we’re inviting interested community members, nonprofit leaders, and advocates to reach out now to learn more about joining.

🚨 URGENT: Congress is considering the largest cuts to SNAP in 50 years – slashing up to $300 BILLION from the program that helps 1 in 8 people in the U.S. put food on the table.

‼️These cuts would hit kids, older adults, working families, and people with disabilities the hardest.

📣 TAKE ACTION NOW:�1️⃣ Call your Representative and tell them to VOTE NO on the House Budget Reconciliation Bill.�2️⃣ Text or call your friends and family in other states and urge them to do the same. We need nationwide pressure to stop this.
