Thank you to the North Carolina Community Foundation and the Watauga County Community Foundation for their support of Immigrant Connection of the High Country.

The Watauga County Community Foundation, a North Carolina Community Foundation affiliate, has awarded $40,405 in grants to 19 organizations supporting the local community.

Temporary Protected Status ending for Nicaragua, Honduras, and Nepal. If this impacts you, we can help you understand your situation, call 828-278-9302 for an appointment.

Some 76,000 people from Nicaragua and Honduras were covered by TPS, which provides protection from deportation and grants work permits to people from certain nations affected by war or natural disasters.

Boonerang International Festival 🌎 Sunday, June 22 from Noon-7pm

The 2025 Boonerang International Festival takes place in the parking lot next to Lost Province (at the intersection of North Depot and Queen Street), on Sunday, June 22, from Noon until 7 p.m. The event is free to attend, and includes an opening Parade of Nations, live musical performances, dancing, food, crafts, and a closing pinata. Come celebrate our international community! 🎉
