Our shelter team is growing!! We are so happy to announce our second Shelter Case Manager, Emma! In her own words…

“I decided to work at OASIS because I’m passionate about helping others and wanted to be part of an organization that makes a meaningful difference in the community. During my internship, I saw firsthand the impact OASIS has on the lives of survivors, and I knew it was somewhere I wanted to continue growing. I’m looking forward to building relationships with the team, supporting clients, and continuing to learn while making a positive impact.”

It is officially back to school season! We had the wonderful opportunity to speak to the new RAs and RDs at Lees-McRae College & participate in the Avery Back to School Bash! We are wishing everyone a happy back to school season🍎✏️

We are more than excited to celebrate our 48th year of service in the High Country with our Midnight Sponsors! OASIS could not do the work we do without the support of our community, and these folks have continually showed up for OASIS and survivors in our area. Welcome the newest member of our team, Evelyn! In her own words…

“I originally joined OASIS on a volunteer basis and grew to admire the staff and wanted to be a part of it. I began to closely work with clients in our emergency shelter as a shelter substitute expanding my knowledge of OASIS policies and care. I am now honored to say I have become an advocate in OASIS and am excited to expand in my role through creating a community space within shelter and contribute to OASIS’s growth and care in playing a role in survivors journeys and recovery”
