Congratulations to Monroe County’s 10 finalists for the 2027 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program! 🎓

“Each of these finalists has already demonstrated an impressive ability to turn their interests and talents into meaningful contributions,” said Community Foundation President and CEO Tina Peterson. “These students have accomplished a great deal, and they are still learning, growing, and discovering where their interests might lead. Reaching this stage among 102 applicants is an achievement worth celebrating, and we are proud to recognize all 10 finalists.”

🚨 The Community Foundation is now accepting applications for Strategic Impact Grants! Apply by October 29.

Stronger organizations build a stronger Monroe County. Today, we’re celebrating 19 organizations receiving a combined $746,000 through the Community Foundation’s Tier 1 Rapid Response Grants.

These grants will help upgrade equipment and technology, improve facilities, and expand services to meet immediate needs while building organizational capacity and sustainability. We are grateful to the donors whose unrestricted and field-of-interest funds made these investments possible.

Tier 1 grants represent the first phase of a three-tier initiative designed to strengthen Monroe County now and create opportunities for lasting impact. Tier 2 Strategic Impact Grants will launch soon; stay tuned for more details.

19 organizations were awarded Tier 1 Rapid Response Grants to build capacity, improve sustainability, and enhance services for our community.
