Thank you to everyone who joined us Sunday night for our performances of our spring concert, “For One, or For All?”! We were honored to share our music with you, and would love to hear your thoughts about the program in the comments.

You can hear Voces Novae next on May 16 when we join the UU Church Choir, Bloomington Chamber Singers, and the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra for a thrilling performance of Beethoven’s 9th symphony.

Today is the day! We hope to see you at one of our performances tonight (Sunday) at 5:00 and 7:00 pm. Admission is free! Donations are gratefully accepted at the door if you’re able to give. Bring a few friends, enjoy a short and thoughtful concert, and leave with lots to talk about.

What does it mean to be a good neighbor? Some people hope for friendly neighbors who check in on each other, loan tools and baking supplies, and know each other's kids. Others want to be left in peace. Let's ponder it together this Sunday, April 12 at For One, or For All? a Voces Novae concert.

We’re so excited to sing for you this Sunday! Remember, there are two chances to catch this concert, 5pm and 7pm on Sunday. Overflow parking is across Fee lane in the gravel IU lot, and even further (but not too far) across the Bypass in another overflow IU lot.

Have you ever sat and thought about greed? Do you have a hard time trying to talk about it? At our concerts this Sunday, Dr. Bernice Johnson Reagon’s thoughts on greed will come to life in her composition of the same name, performed by Voces Novae tenor Lara Lynn Weaver, in a lively song originally recorded by Sweet Honey in the Rock.

🎤 Almost every Voces Novae concert has a narrator, who gives context to the music and explores the theme through stories and citations. At our performances this Sunday, we’re bringing back not one, but two of the finest! Michael McGregor and Sylvia McNair will enlighten audiences and musicians alike with a fascinating script written by our Artistic Director, Susan Swaney. 🎶 April 12 at 5 and 7 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Bloomington. Free!

If you don't already listen to Nice Work on WFIU Public Radio, you might want to start this weekend! The arts and culture show will feature an interview with Voces Novae Artistic Director Sue Swaney (foreground) and soprano/composer Abby Henkel Roman (wearing the hat) about our upcoming concert, which will be the world premiere of a new piece by Abby, "Vos Advenae" ("Strangers").

The episode airs on 103.7 at 7am this Saturday, April 4, and at noon on Sunday. You can also listen to the recording afterward at www.ipm.org/show/nicework. Then join us on April 12 and enjoy For One, or For All? a Voces Novae concert!

Our upcoming concert on April 12, For One, or For All? a Voces Novae concert, explores concepts of The Commons. IU's own Nobel laureate, the late Elinor Ostrom, challenged the concept of "the tragedy of the commons" in her research. Ostrom's Law states: "a resource arrangement that works in practice can work in theory.” Come join us and be inspired to think beyond the clichés while immersing yourself in the dulcet tones of Voces Novae!
