Rachel shared this note a few days ago. She found it doing some cleaning.

It is a great reminder of why we lead Lovedwell! Abigail was so good at loving people and reminds us to keep going and loving well.

Right now we are trying to raise another $7,000 to pay for labor on a roof and gutters for Cheryl Trisler Honeycutt. Someone reading this could cover that without any worries. Others could give $25-500.

We have raised $1,560 toward our goal. We have a LONG way to go. Please consider giving to help us love Cheryl Trisler Honeycutt well. She has worked hard as an oncology and hospice nurse for so many years- truly practicing - and now her community can show love back.

SHE CARED FOR OTHERS. NOW WE CARE FOR HER. ❤

On September 11, we remember the men and women who ran toward people in their greatest moments of need. We remember their courage, their sacrifice, and the spirit of compassion that defined so many that day.

As we approach the 25th anniversary of 9/11, Lovedwell wants to honor that spirit by loving someone in our own community who has spent much of her life caring for others.

Meet Cheryl.
Cheryl served as a nurse in Bloomington Hospital’s Outpatient Oncology department from 2005–2013. She later worked in home health before joining the Hospice House in 2018, where she spent years helping local families navigate some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
She provided comfort care, pain management, and emotional support to patients facing the end of life—and to the families who loved them.

Cheryl knows grief personally, too. She lost her father in 2022. Around that same time, her husband, Dallas, began battling Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia. As his condition progressed, Cheryl made the incredibly difficult decision to move Dallas to the Hospice House, where he passed away in 2024.

Even while walking through her own grief, Cheryl continued caring for others at the Hospice House until retiring from nursing just a few months ago.

Dallas had always been the handyman of their family. During his illness and after his passing, several important needs around their home were left undone. One of the most urgent is a new roof and gutters. Without them, Cheryl's homeowners insurance has been cancelled. After spending nearly everything she had caring for Dallas, Cheryl simply doesn't have the
financial ability to take care of this herself.
So now, it's our turn to care for Cheryl.
Lovedwell is partnering with Koontz Roofing & Exterior Construction Inc. and a shingle manufacturer to help provide Cheryl with a new roof. We are asking our community to help us raise $9,110 to
cover a portion of the labor and other non-shingle costs.

9/11 — LOVE RESPONDS
Our Goal: $9,110
She spent years caring for cancer patients.
She cared for families at the end of life.
She cared for her husband until his final days.

She cared for others. Now we care for her.
Would you help Lovedwell love Cheryl well?

Every gift—large or small—will help us get Cheryl under a safe, secure roof and remind her that the community she has served for so many years has not forgotten her.

Donate. Share. Pray. Help us reach $9,110.

One of our original shirts is coming back for the late summer!

PREORDER now and have them ready for pick up or shipping by September 11.

2 Comfort Color shirts available with a beautiful 4-color print with small - 3x available.

These shirts were designed by Nate Karnes and have tons of meaning:

-Obviously the mantra.
-Three mountains on one side with one “separated” by a tall tree. This represents Troy, Rachel, Brandt with Abigail being separated. However, that’s just perspective. The mountains are together and can’t be separated.
-Stars in the night scene because “Stars” was Abigail’s favorite Crowder Music song.
-The lake and trees are there to support the full story of the mountains. Without the trees and lake, the mountains would be alone and empty. This represents all our friends and family who have been here to support us since the tragedy.
-The heart is simply that, the heart. Full of memories and stories with as the foundation.
