After a devastating fire destroyed the college in 1854, 15 IU graduates joined together to rebuild their beloved campus. Today, that loyal Indiana spirit connects an IU family of more than 740,000 living alumni.

“For one week I am exposed to a wide variety of topics and am mentally energized. What else could you ask for?”

That’s how one Mini University attendee described their experience.

Next week, lifelong learners from across the country will return to Bloomington to explore new ideas, engage with IU faculty, and reconnect with the joy of learning.

Can’t make it to campus? You can still experience a piece of Mini University through our Mini U Spotlight Series, featuring recordings of select sessions from recent programs. These videos highlight the depth and variety of topics explored at Mini University and bring the IU classroom experience wherever you are.

Watch, learn, and rediscover what makes this program a beloved IU tradition. ⚪️🔴

Congratulations to The Media School at Indiana University alum Andrew Gus, BA’26, on being named Student Leader of the Year.

As assistant coach of IU Men's Club Ice Hockey, Andrew helped foster a culture of excellence, leading pregame discussions, analyzing opponents, and supporting a team that captured the program's first national championship. Andrew has now began his professional career with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Congratulations, Andrew!

John Kindig, BS’72, MD’76, and Wendy Kindig, BS’73, MD’77, wanted to invest in students and research during their lifetime so they could see the impact their support was making firsthand.

Through the John R. and Wendy L. Kindig Scholarship and Fellowship Program, their generosity has already supported more than 140 scholars and 30 fellows across IU College of Arts and Sciences, helping create more time and opportunity for students to focus on research, mentorship, and discovery.

Big ideas don’t always wait until after graduation.

On the newest episode of We Are IU, Dr. Blake Mathias of the Kelley School of Business sits down with student entrepreneurs Sam Law and Brie Dillman to talk about building businesses while balancing classes, campus life, and the demands of growing something from the ground up.

Across IU’s campuses, students are already turning ideas into real momentum and shaping what the next generation of entrepreneurship can look like.
