Is it even a workday if you *don't* get a few baby snuggles in? 🥹🤍

Our midwives do a lot more than catch babies! There's monitoring, educating, encouraging, problem-solving, and plenty of hard work behind the scenes. But we have a feeling that getting to hold these sweet little ones makes the busy days even more special. 👶🏼💕

We're pretty sure **baby snuggles are an unofficial job benefit** around here! 😂

Sometimes the most important appointment isn't the one that happens during labor.🤍

During this home visit in Chihuahua, Mexico, our midwife had the opportunity to check in with a mama who welcomed her baby with our team.

These visits allow us to continue supporting families beyond birth, answer questions, monitor recovery, and make sure mom and baby are doing well.

Midwifery care is about more than delivering babies. It’s about building relationships, providing education, recognizing concerns early, and walking alongside families through every stage of the journey. 🌎🤍

Because every mother deserves compassionate care—not just during birth, but before and after, too.

📸 One of our favorite little traditions at our maternity centers is taking newborn photos. In between caring for moms, checking on babies, and all the busyness that comes with birth, our midwives make time to capture these sweet first moments.
And sometimes, that means our midwives get to put on their photographer hats, too! 🥹

These photos become treasured memories for families and a beautiful reminder of the little lives we have the privilege of welcoming into the world.

We thought it was time to share a peek behind the scenes of this special tradition. 👶🤍

Our mission extends beyond our maternity centers.

Whether we're traveling to communities or welcoming families into our clinics, our goal remains the same:
To provide compassionate, respectful healthcare for every mother and baby, while also extending accessible, quality healthcare to children and adults throughout the surrounding communities.

Careful monitoring of a newborn helps midwives recognize how a baby is adjusting after birth and identify potential concerns early.

From checking breathing, heart rate, temperature, and feeding to monitoring weight gain and overall well-being, these simple but essential assessments help guide care when babies need extra support.

In communities where access to specialized medical care can be limited, having skilled providers who know what to look for—and when to act—is especially important.

We are so proud to celebrate Helena as she graduates and passes her final exam to become a Certified International Midwife (CIM)! 🎓💜 She is now officially registered as a professional midwife here in Mexico.

Helena has been part of the New Life family for years, working alongside us throughout her training and gaining valuable experience along the way. We are so excited that she will continue working with us as a professional midwife!

Now, Helena is equipped with the knowledge, skills, and heart to make a positive impact in her community and beyond—supporting women, babies, and families through one of life’s most incredible journeys.

Congratulations, Helena! We are so proud of all you have accomplished and grateful that we get to continue this journey together. We can’t wait to see the lives you will impact! 💕🌎
