How can I adequately say thank you to all who gave to and prayed for EquipNepal’s Aasha Tree this year? Because of you, 35 children at B*H are getting much-needed new clothing for Christmas. Because of you, there are others who were blessed. Those who stories I cannot relate but who were deeply touched and even their lives change for the better (I am talking necessities here, not toys or frivolities), if even for a few weeks or months.

Friends, if you could help, it would be much appreciated!
As most of you know, I've run a nonprofit, EquipNepal, since 2001. I have handed over most of the duties a couple of years ago but I still have the 501(c)3, and I still receive some donations for Blessed Children's Home (B*H) in Nepal every year as well as do some small fundraisers, as the Lord prompts. I count it a blessing to serve!
I don't raise funds regularly anymore for our once-annual Christmas project for B*H, but this year I feel like I should raise my voice and ask for donations, as they have not received any donations toward their Christmas this year. There are currently 42 children at B*H.
If you feel compelled to give (and help make the children's Christmas a joyful one - with new clothes, candy, and school supplies), please either message me, or you can give right now via PayPal ([email protected]) or a check (EquipNepal, 2632 Ranchette Rd, Billings, MT 59105). I know I rarely post anymore because I am pretty much “retired.” But I still have this nonprofit and I still want to help when the Lord leads. Thanks for sticking with me!

Nepal is going financially crazy, It is too bad that people don’t have any job. The construction and other work has totally collapsed. I heard our city government gave permission to build 750 building last year and this year only 100. People do not build a house because the banks do not give any loans and no business is going this time.
Most of our church members are daily labors (work for the day). They have no job and finding hard to buy their food. Church started to pray even to give out some rice to some of those families who are going through difficulties.

Mr. ________, one of our church committee member, working as a daily labor, now is sick and admitted couple of time in hospital. He has kidney stones and they large, so he has to go through a surgery but he has no money. The hospital said since there are few stones to be removed he need at list Rs.50000/ which about $450. He does not have the money to do the surgery so he taking the pain killers pill everyday. Some time the pain is severe, then he takes the injection. We appreciate your prayers. If any one feel to help him to do the surgery please help.

Keepsake Quilt Raffle to Benefit B*H
Tickets: $10 each

This keepsake quilt is 86" x 62" (slightly smaller than Twin) and is made from pillowcases that B*H kids embroidered about 20 years ago. The quilt was beautifully pieced by ladies at Cornerstone Community Church in Grand Marais, MN. A quilt label is included.

Photos of the quilt are in the comments. It is such a sweet, snuggly, special quilt! Made with love from Nepal and Minnesota!

This is a fundraiser for Blessed Children's Home in Nepal, so 100% of the money that is collected goes to them. My goal is to raise $3000, to help with their Christmas celebration (necessities, clothing, and small gifts). Ticket purchases are NOT considered donations, according to IRS regulations.

You can pay via check (made out to EquipNepal), or PayPal ([email protected]). If you need my mailing or email address, please message me. If you want to pay by Facebook Pay (in Messenger), you can do that, too.

You'll not receive a stub, since it's virtual, but I will message you a stub number for each ticket purchased.

Drawing will take place and winner will be notified on December 1. The quilt will be shipped to the winner (within the US and Canada only).

NOTE: If you'd like to sell some tickets for us, message me with the number of packs of 10 that you'd like. I'll send them out this next week with some pictures of the quilt.

Friends, please consider giving to this project, Aasha Tree. I have hosted it for 17 years and it does so much good. It provides practical Christmas gifts (clothing, mostly) to the B*H kids and staff, but also to outreach (evangelism and blanket distribution). Here are some pics of the preparation and also of an outreach from last year (in comments). We usually raise $4000 to $6000 and we are really short this year (around $1500). Thank you, dears!

Aasha Tree 2019 (formerly hosted by EquipNepal)

Our 17th Annual Aasha Tree Christmas Box project has begun!

This has been EquipNepal’s only fundraiser during the year, and even though EquipNepal is no longer in operation, I felt compelled to continue this project as it is so needed. It provides Christmas gifts and funds for the children, staff, pastors, and evangelists we worked with in Nepal. Last year, we met our goal of sending funds for over 350 children, staff, pastors, and evangelists (a total of $4367).

Would you consider giving this year? The children’s gifts will be purchased in Nepal (clothing, art supplies, sweets); and the others will receive cash for them to spend on whatever they need or want. This year, as in past years, B*H would also like to give to some widows and blind students, and purchase 200 blankets to distribute to the poor in their community.

We need about $5000 by Dec. 11th to accomplish this. You may mail a check to First Light Child Sponsorship, 3377 Bethel Rd SE, Ste 107, Box #138, Port Orchard, WA 98366 with a note (“Aasha Tree"). First Light Child Sponsorship is kindly facilitating the child sponsorship program for B*H now and they are happy to collect and send the funds. As in the past, 100% goes to B*H! You will receive a donation receipt from First Light if you give via their website or send a check.

Hello! I am reposting from my personal page about my upcoming trip to Nepal for B*H's Silver Jubilee celebration!

! want to say thank you again to each friend who donated to my trip. Because of your gifts, I am able to help with some of my traveling companion’s expenses (he is a full-time missionary) and purchased 4 huge packs of LEGOS and many other things for the B*H kids as well as some commemorative gifts for Babu and Sabitri. I am also able to cover over half my expenses. Blessings to you all for your thoughtfulness and generosity. 💕
Thank you, also, for your continued prayers for the trip and the Silver Jubilee. Many people are traveling to Hetauda from every direction and it will be a homecoming as well as a celebration.
Nepal rations electricity so my access to Internet will be spotty but I will keep you updated on the “goings on” as I can!
