Spark a love of reading that lasts. Give today and be the reason a child discovers their next favorite book → https://secure.qgiv.com/for/wstwch

Every child deserves a book of their own.
• A book they choose.
• A book they keep.
• A book that opens a door.
This Giving Tuesday, give the joy of reading to children in Whatcom County!
Your gift puts forever books directly into kids’ hands through the Summer Reading Program — helping them explore new worlds, build confidence and stay excited about learning all year long.

Thank you, Whatcom County voters! According to the latest ballot count from the Whatcom County elections department, the library levy measure on the Aug. 5 ballot was approved by a majority of voters and funding for the library services that our community depends upon is secure for the foreseeable future. Election results will be certified Aug. 19.

Having reliable, sustainable funding means WCLS staff can continue to provide excellent, innovative library services across Whatcom County that help improve people’s lives. We are grateful. Learn what’s next and how to stay connected at wcls.org/levy.

Well, that's a wrap! After 13 years working for WCLF, I'm retiring. It has been my heartfelt pleasure to serve our amazing Whatcom County Library System in this capacity. The staff, donors, board members, and library patrons are truly amazing.
Though I'm stepping down as the Foundation's development director, you can bet your bottom dollar I will always be a donor, a voter, and an advocate for our local libraries!
With much gratitude,
Jennifer Rick
