Did you catch the PTO board members at pick up and drop off today? If not, you were probably awkwardly avoiding eye contact from the cozy front seat of your car.

We were out in full force today, hunting down volunteers for the Fall Festival, which is only ONE WEEK AWAY. It’s not a huge time commitment. Promise. We’ll take anyone: extended family, friends, older siblings. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Lost & Found Finds: Hats Off

Normally 'hats off' is an appreciation phrase. That is not the context I'll be using today. Hats: the often-neglected, easily forgotten Lost & Found item. Just buy a new hat, right? Not in this economy. Be so for real right now. Tell your kids to keep track of their accessories too.

Also, I think I found a Labubu (hopefully not a real one because I think they're expensive). Either way, paired with this little devil Squishmellow, they make a nefarious couple (which is actually my favorite type of couple. IYKYK).

If you're wondering what to do with yourself tomorrow night, have I got a treat for you! (And yes, I also just really wanted to reuse this incredible picture of Monika looking flustered and strung out on lack of sleep and yet still beautiful. What a legend.)

Join us for the October PTO meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the library. We'll discuss the Fall Festival, a potential special November event, the supply drive, and more!

Lost & Found Finds: Local Edition

Did a double take this morning when I found a hoodie from to the Horseshoe Cafe—the place notorious for late-night college shenanigans (at least in the late 1900s). Not that kids can't eat there, but it's not the first place I think of for a family meal. But, hey, it's good that we're supporting local, right?

And my other finds are also PNW-themed: The Deming Log Show (not sure what a 'busted up' logger is, but it sounds serious); Mt. Baker Shred Area (is there an area that forbids shredding? I'm not a skier or a snow boarder... or a shredder?); Washington State Grappling Industries Round Robin Tournament (I had to Google this, and apparently it's a "global organization that hosts Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and submission wrestling tournaments," so watch out because there's some kid at Wade King who could probably kick everyone's butt.)

Will you be at the open house tonight? CHECK THE LOST & FOUND. Your kids don't know what they're missing, but YOU DO.

Who's a good birthday boy? It's Sunny!

If you're at Wade King today, don't forget to wish our best boy a happy birthday. He's so freakin' cute that I had to include all three photos.

And while I have your attention...

Lost & Found Finds: Custom Art, 90s Nostalgia, and A Whole Lotta Love

We have a hoodie with a personalized design courtesy of Sharpie. I'm not sure what's it's supposed to be, but kudos for creativity. Next time, scrawling a name would also be helpful.

Apparently Bart Simpson is back in, and while perusing all his catch phrases, I'm once again struck by what a terrible role model he is for elementary kids. Though I do kind of want the "eat my shorts" insult to have a resurgence..

Someone loves wolves (appropriate considering our mascot), and someone loves horses.

The end.

Lost & Found Finds: Nothing to See Here

Boring haul today. Maybe next week someone will lose something interesting.

As it stands, I'm posting about two Seattle Mariner hats, a baseball glove, a relatively new (and soft) University of NC hoodie, and more of this Angel versus Stitch nonsense. Anything look familiar?

There are also a ton of Nike, Air Jordan, and Adidas "Costco special" hoodies (mostly in black, which is SHOCKING). Come take a looksie.
