The Belfast Soup Kitchen is looking for a dynamic, community-minded Operations Assistant to join our team! If you love a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, and you want to make a real difference in your community, we want to hear from you.

💼 THE DETAILS:
Hours: Full-Time (35–40 hours/week)
Pay: $18.00 – $19.00 / hour (Commensurate with experience)
Schedule: Day-to-day flexibility is required, including some weekends.
📦 WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Receive, sort, and organize incoming food donations.
- Help with food dehydration, packet production, and frozen meal prep.
- Pick up local food donations from community partners.
- Cross-train to support daily operations and fill in for staff absences.
✅ WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
🗓️ At least 1 year of experience working with the public.
🍎 Knowledge of safe food handling, storage, and inventory management.
💪 Ability to safely and consistently lift and move 50–75 lbs.
💻 Comfort using computers (Word, Excel, databases) and solid basic math skills. 🤝 Excellent customer service skills and a collaborative team spirit.
🚗 High School Diploma/GED and a Valid Driver’s License.
