Did you know? In 2025 alone, the Belfast Soup Kitchen served 93,982 meals to our neighbors! 🍽

✨That's tens of thousands of warm lunches, grocery boxes, and moments of comfort provided right here in Waldo County. But with food costs rising and demand at an all-time high, keeping these meals coming takes community power.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 in 10 days to make sure our kitchen and market stay fully stocked.

💙 Today marks the start of Hunger Action Month, and we are kicking it off with our 10 Days of Kindness campaign! 💙

September is a time to stand up against food insecurity, and right here in Waldo County, the need is greater than ever. Our goal is ambitious: raise $10,000 in 10 days for our programs and services. You might ask - why now?

Demand is soaring: Visits to our Kindness Community Market are up 54% compared to last year. 🛒

Resources are stretched: We’ve already used 84% of our food budget to keep up with the growing need in our community. 💸

Hunger Action Month is about turning awareness into action.
Every dollar you give directly restocks our pantry shelves and keeps warm meals on our neighbors' tables.

The Belfast Soup Kitchen & Kindness Community Market will be CLOSED Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day.

We will resume our regular hours Tuesday, September 8th.

Tomorrow is the day! Day 1 of our 10 Days of Kindness campaign kicks off in the morning!

We'll be honest—we're a little nervous. We know raising $10,000 in 10 days is a big ask. But we have so much faith in our community, our neighbors, and the incredible support that always surrounds the Belfast Soup Kitchen.

Every single dollar raised goes directly toward providing warm meals, fresh produce, and essential groceries for families right here in Waldo County.

Tuesday - Chicken Cordon Bleu, Stuffing, Mixed Vegetables, Bread

Wednesday - Vegetable & Pepperjack Frittata, Garden Salad, Bread

Thursday - Shrimp & Chicken Gumbo, Garden Salad, Bread

Friday - Chop Suey, Garden Salad, Bread

We operate across two buildings at 31 Belmont Ave. Check out our services, schedule, and locations below! 👇

🥣 1. MAIN SOUP KITCHEN BUILDING (Meals & Daily Support)
Our daily meal is free and open to the community.

Coffee Hour: Monday–Friday | 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM (Coffee & light fare)
Take-Out Meals: Monday–Friday | 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Dine-In: Monday–Friday | 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Last seating 12:45 PM, please)
Community Health Hub: Please visit website or call 207-338-4845 option 3 for daily schedule.

🛒 2. KINDNESS COMMUNITY MARKET
(Free Grocery Pantry — Located behind our main kitchen building! Continue down the driveway and for our official signs on the entrance.)

Market Shopping Hours:
