Join us as we partner with the Randall Collins Vfw and the BELFAST (MAINE) POLICE DEPARTMENT as we line up at the Memorial Bridge on Friday September 11, 2026 for the 25th anniversary.

We start on the side where the red & white building is and walk across the bridge and back. Opening services begin at 8:30 with prayer, 21 Gun Salute, and TAPS. We then "step off" (taking our first steps) at 8:46 am - The time the first plane struck a tower on 9-11-01 🇺🇸

We had the Honor and pleasure to attend the unveiling of the recently restored model ship USS Little Rock at Our Heroes Museum in Lincoln Maine.
The ship is now with its partner.. the USS Independence, both of which were built by Clyde Wellman.
Clyde left the model ships with us and we tried keeping up with maintenance but found ourselves overwhelmed.
The folks at the museum have done a magnificent job in restoring both ships and we bring them back to Belfast any time we have an event.
I think Clyde would be very pleased his work is well maintained, cared for, and being enjoyed by thousands of visitors to the museum.
If anyone gets a chance to go see the entire museum... We recommend you take the trip. It's well worth it.

So let's just clear this up
PTSD isn't always flash backs and night sweats, most of us dont barricade ourselves in the basement everytime a fireworks display pops off.
For most of us PTSD is pretty quiet, we carry an unfathomable amount of guilt and shame.
We have alot of irritability and anger,
Not the screaming out loud kind, more like a pull back, and that's why we self isolate because we just don't want to be around people.
Our fuse is alittle shorter, we just don't want to be around people.

PTSD isn't always what you think it is.

We had the honor of building a donated swing set and basketball hoop for a disabled veterans family. Big thanks to Steve Wolford, Ray Palkie, Bill Bruns, and Jerry Gould for helping Commander Jim Roberts put these gifts together for a veteran's family.

We are going to do modified morning services.
We will start at the legion at 930, then the VFW around 945 then the cemetery where we will meet at our namesakes at 10.
This is to preserve work done on the grounds in varies location.
