We are going to do modified morning services.
We will start at the legion at 930, then the VFW around 945 then the cemetery where we will meet at our namesakes at 10.
This is to preserve work done on the grounds in varies location.

We have been asked by multiple calls, texts, and voicemails regarding tomorrow's events .
The parade WILL go on as scheduled. All participants need to line up at renys at 1030 for the start time of 11:00...
We may be a little wet... But we are going.
Other services may be modified... Check on this page between 8 and 815 Monday morning for updates.... But the parade IS happening for those who wish to participate with us.

We will be donating all the funds raised from our raffles and other ventures over the weekend to those affected by the tragedy in Searsmont today.
We will be at the Co-Op in Belfast... As well as other locations.

In some disheartening news...
Our furnace at our post home has been condemned.
We had our furnace company come in to do a routine cleaning and they discovered holes and burned components in the firebox.
We are still going to operate (for now)...
But evenings could be chilly so wear a sweater when you come in.

AS WE START PREPARING FOR MEMORIAL DAY - We Are extending an invitation to everyone - Please come join us and be part of the parade (meet at Renys Parking lot at 10:30 and we will get you lined up) we start our march at 11 am. If not interested in being IN the parade - certainly support us by watching as we travel from Renys, down Main Street Hill and on to the waterfront where we have our last service.

Other services that day:
*Ceremonies include prayer, short comments at each site, 21 Gun Salute, and TAPS.
Ceremonies begin at the POW/MIA Monument at 9 am, followed by the next service at the American Legion, and then on to the VFW.
After the VFW ceremony we take a short break and reload (Literally)
At 10 am we begin services (3 total) in Grove Cemetery. 1st the monument by the High School, 2nd the Flagpole / Cannon near the cemetery garage, and lastly at our Namesakes near Main Street.
From there we travel to Renys Parking lot to begin line up so the parade can start at 11 am.
Last year's event was a huge success, and we hope to be even bigger this year..

Huge shout out to the CMP crew who stopped in and fixed the flag pole at the POW/MIA Memorial.
They restored the solar ball and restrung the rope for us at no cost...
We greatly appreciate their time and efforts.
