Backpacks, school supplies, and flying BMX bikes, Oh My!

We're so excited to partner with Waldo County YMCA to bring you Waldo County's first School-a-Palooza! a community event celebrating families during Back-to-School time! We invite you to join us at Waldo County YMCA on Sunday, August 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a very cool BMX Stunt Performance by Dialed Action Sports and brought to you by Viking Lumber, FREE backpacks and school supplies, food, and fun!

For years, Waldo CAP has given away backpacks and school supplies to ensure every school-aged child in Waldo County starts the school year off with the tools they need for learning. This year, we are expanding that community project and have partnered with the Waldo County YMCA to bring you SCHOOL-A-PALOOZA!

This community family-friendly event celebrates Back-to-School with our feature attraction: Dialed Action Sports BMX stunt performance, brought to you by Viking Lumber! We'll also have activities, resources, food, free backpacks and school supplies, and an opportunity for free haircuts just in time for the new school year!

This year's inaugural theme is "Kindness Rocks." We hope you will join us at the Y on Sunday, August 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. where Waterfall Arts will be on site to facilitate a Kindness Rock painting activity for attendees. Come enjoy a free hot dog lunch, spend some quality time with your family, experience the thrilling bike show performance with an anti-bullying message, and choose a back pack and fill it with school supplies, and more!

We invite community organizations to join in the event and add to its success so we can bring it back year after year, starting a new Back-to-School tradition in Waldo County.
