Today marks the opening of Doors To My Barrio, a special exhibit at the Garden View Gallery celebrating the cultures, stories, and artistic traditions of Latino communities across Northeast Ohio. Presented in partnership with the Julia De Burgos Cultural Arts Ctr and supported by Cuyahoga Arts & Culture, the exhibit will be on display from June 17 through July 17, 2026 at the Family Life Center, 16349 Chillicothe Rd., Chagrin Falls, OH 44023.

Featuring twenty doors transformed into works of art by twenty Northeast Ohio Latino artists, each piece represents a different Spanish-speaking country and offers a unique perspective on identity, heritage, and community. We invite you to stop by, experience these powerful stories, and celebrate the diversity that enriches our region.

This free full-day intensive invites participants to explore how personal beliefs connect to larger systems and how meaningful change starts in the conversations and choices we make every day. Led by Elizabeth Woodson, Executive Director of Reckon With. You'll move through a series of small-group exercises designed to surface the conditioning we all carry, investigate the hidden history of the places we live, and rehearse real conversations you'll have this week with people you already know.
