We had a great time surprising the elderly and Veterans in the area with our annual body wash give away this past February 14. Pretty glittery cloth gift bags were filled with body wash, bath body scrubber and a valentine card. Bill did the driving and Kit and Rosalind did the door knocking and handing out. The gift bags were greatly appreciated and we received quite a few thank you calls afterwards.

Good morning Everybody ! HAPPY THURSDAY :) We are still making pickups of donated items for the hurricane/flood victims in the south. If you have anything you wish to have picked up, today is the day. We are Loading trucks and trailers this evening at 5:00 pm at Chagrin Falls Eagles 2436 Please, items being donated should be dropped off prior to avoid a cluster while we're packing (loading up) to leave. We are all in this together.

PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE

That is the motto of the Eagles and that is what we plan to do.

We will be collecting items to send to Hurricane Victims in and around Ashville, North Carolina.

The collection will be at our club, Chagrin Falls Fraternal Order of Eagles, 7046 Chagrin, Chagrin Falls (across from the roller rink)

Please drop off items starting this Tuesday, October 15th thru Thursday October 17th. We hope to fill four trailers with donations and the drivers are scheduled to leave on Friday Morning.

Take your donations to the back of the tent. You can enter thru the gate in the parking lot.

The things they need the most are

· Bottled Water
· Baby Formula and Diapers
· Pet Food
· Canned Food and Dry Goods…think Canned Protein, Fruit
· Propane including 16 oz coleman Canisters

Additional Needs would include
· Hygiene Items
· Blankets
· Camp Stoves
· Wipes
· Trash Bags
· Paper Plates and Plastic Utensils
· Individual Snacks

We know our Aerie will be generous, but we would like to make this a community effort.

If we stuff those four trailers to the top and we have more need, we will rent a truck.

We've been doing our best to help everyone that we can during this power outage. We have all 5 of our generators out on loan at this time. We were more than happy to have been ready to help. Cash donations would help with gasoline and oil and perhaps some used generators. If anyone has a generator they don't use anymore and would consider donating it to us we would be able to help more people. Even if it isn't working we could get it repaired. We always appreciate any consideration. Thanks to all of you who always help us in helping others. VFI contributes every year to the underwear/sock/school supply giveaway in Chagrin Falls Park organized by our Sis Rosalind Radford. We could not do this without the support given to our organization by all the generous donations we received! Thank you to all! ❤️
