What happens when we stop trying to hold everything together?

For leaders, there is always another email to answer, another meeting to attend, another problem to solve. Somewhere along the way, it can start to feel like faithfulness means keeping up with it all.

But what if stopping is part of faithfulness, too?

Through Gather at the Well, a Wesleyan Impact Partners cohort launched in partnership with Faith Matters Network and Fetzer Institute, ministry leaders are rediscovering Sabbath not simply as rest, but as a practice of trust—a way of remembering that we don’t have to know everything, solve everything, or be everything to everyone.

And that God is still at work even when we aren't.

A young man walked into Restoration House, a ministry that began at Bryson City UMC in Bryson City, NC, with no job — just hope for one — and asked for $200 to help with rent.

A couple of months later, he came back. Not for more help, but to donate $250 to others, because he'd been helped when he needed it most.
